The best part of MH is that each weapon has a depth and tactics that require mastery. A lesser game would have added 2 or 3 of them and called it a day, or made minor knockoffs. MH has 14 of them, none of them share movesets, and each one has dozens of versions with different stats.

The only thing that displeases me about this is that it didn’t connect like a proper ‘punch’ would have.

To be fair, he might not be saying that invalidates his opinion, but makes his opinion even MORE valid; If a guy that’s hinging his life on games says a game that rakes in tonnes viewers is so bad that he’s about to drop it, then that says something about the game.
