I appreciate his take on the experience. I hope he doesn’t lose work for being honest. It doesn’t sound like sour grapes or whining. It’s a nuanced perspective and a conversation that needs to be had.

I can’t believe I’m even taking the time to comment on this, but just because she’s one of the world’s top models doesn’t mean she’s a *good* model. I remember a year or so ago when someone tried to recreate Michaela Bercu’s iconic Vogue cover (the one with the Lacroix top and jeans - AW’s first issue) with Gigi and

That BTS track reminded me more of JT’s “Can’t Stop The Feeling” than anything else. Which is fine, I’m always happy to hear another pop song my 5 year old can enjoy, no disrespect to “WAP” intended.

Election day should be a paid national holiday. Many of my coworkers feared going to vote on lunch because they thought they’d get busted and fired for taking too long. Me, I lived in the area of my job, so I’d just walk and come back after I was done. It should be done. In America, we treat our jobs like a literal

Nebula was seriously the stealth MVP of Endgame. I already can’t wait to see more of her in future films.

I hate that you reminded me of Agent Carter getting canceled.  Maaaaaaaan I never tire of Hayley Atwell.

I feel like you’re really leaving Gamora and Nebula in the dirt here. Nebula doesn’t even get a mention! GOTG2 took time to let the two of them fight, talk it out, sort of reconcile but not really, and then kept it going across timelines and alternate universes in Infinity War and Endgame. The fanservicey theatrics of

It’s interesting to me how many people thought of Ellen as “the nicest person in Hollywood” because to I never perceived her as being overly nice or friendly. I definitely never thought she was mean or a bad person, but she struck me as more of an average/neutral person, if that makes sense. Like if you met her or

I have always thought Ellen had dead-looking eyes. Like, she can smile and chatter and talk, but her eyes are always shuttered. She smiles with the corners of her eyes, not her eyes, so to speak.

To be fair, there have been “Ellen is a terrible person” reports for many years, it’s just that for various reasons it has gained momentum is being taken seriously by the mainstream media now.

Just because Ellen helped normalize being gay, does not mean she is infallible. As a gay male of color, the most Ellen has personally given me include a few memes, and the popularization of the catchy, twee song, “Best Friend” by Sophia Grace. I never needed her permission, guidance, or cheerleading to do me. Ever.

I really really don’t want a piece of Kanye, or the Kardashian/Jenners. Sorry but we’ve all got our own real life shit to get through. I guarantee that you could ask any person in this country and they could tell you that their spouse/parent/sibling/child/friend/coworker/neighbor/etc suffers from a mental illness or

you can have a mental illness AND be an asshole. They are not mutually exclusive.

Stop giving this very unintelligent person attention. He’s aggressively stupid. He’s a racist. He serves a racist master in Trump. He has a massive ego with no self awareness whatsoever and making a few catchy songs does not warrant his belief that he’s a genius. He doesn’t read. He doesn’t think. He’s a prime example

“Amateurs shouldn’t critique art.”

I totally agree, however I do also recognize that some artists are married to their technique which is why the underlined portion of my original comment. If a white photographer can’t light Black skin properly or effectively work with Black skin or hair, then that artist should step aside and make room for someone

I’m worried he’s going to encourage his fascist fan club to rise up and commit terrorist acts.

I take some comfort from the fact BLM protests were much larger than the anti-shutdown/ anti-mask protests. I have no doubt there will acts of terrorism, like driving cars into people and mass shootings, but I think his supporters will do that if he wins too.

Yup. And here’s an article discussing the cinematography of Insecure:
