Joe Alwyn was in Mary Queen of Scots.

Agreed. I think it was way he reacted so quickly. He was so impatient and slapped her hand so she would let him go.

What her ex did was wrong. But can we please not make a martyr out of a Freshmen Congresswoman whose judgment was so poor that she wasn’t even able to complete a two year congressional term. Is that really the kind of person or woman that you want in Congress? She couldn’t even keep her stuff together for two years.

That’s funny, mentioning the Jenner/Kardashians is banned in my house.

Zuck was a sociopath from the jump, but point taken.

One of the comment people here (Batista Thumbs Up) had a pretty good reply in the last Newswire post on this. Basically, nobody cares about Charlie’s Angels as a property - the only reason the 2000 movie was even as a successful as it was, was because two of the three leads were super-stars at the time (and this made

I remember seeing reruns as a kid, but I’m also too young. I think that it was inspirational to women in addition to being super male gazey. Women wanted to be the characters in the show. They were stylish, independent, bad ass ladies... as well as also fulfilling the sexy requirement.

The marketing for this movie sucked. The promos were all the same: overstuffed with characters, a lot of dialogue that doesn’t mean anything (and difficult to hear in the first trailer), incomprehensible plot, no significant set-pieces teased. There was nothing to grab you and make you think this movie could compete

Plus, Bowen Yang is out and Harry Styles is a vocal, seemingly very sincere advocate for LGBTQ visibility. This isn’t where gay bashing is going to come from (plus, you’re right: the joke was that it was explicit, had typos, etc., not that it was gay).

gay-bashing? it was so unequivocally gay, with 2 (or 3, we don’t know her life) queer characters! the joke was never that he was gay! i found it was great representation for us depressed queers who are way too much online

The sketch was written by two gay men.

It was a good episode! “That’s the Game” was my favorite, but it was chock full of goodness.

The blind item is the werewolf from twilight, right?

OMG, I forgot how funny that was ... almost pithed myself laughing

“They’re all about getting women back on track.” Patriarchy at its finest. Unless you’re the correct weight, no matter what your accomplishments, you’re “off track.”

First, they’re not anywhere near as rich as they claim. It’s a house of cards built with debt, that is on the brink of collapse. Second, they’re cheap.

Pretty soon, anyone with the last name Trump simply won’t go out in public.  It’s really starting to (finally) feel like the walls are closing in around these historic criminals.  Let’s just hope those walls are covered in spikes.

I liked this show enough during the first 4 episodes but episode 5, Pedretti’s performance in particular, made me love this show. Poor Nell indeed.

So, are these reviews essentially recaps with some light criticism thrown in? I’m surprised that there’s no mention of Victoria Pedretti’s gobsmacking performance as Nell, which has to rank among the best I’ve seen on television. Unfailingly genuine, inventive, and expressive stuff, which sells every second of it.

This episode - especially the last few minutes - purely did me in, y’all. Emotionally, I mean. Just — stick a fork in me, I’m done. This fucking house! Poor Nellie.
