Third Gear: What must BMW do to survive?

He’s basically turned into the Tigers edition of Magglio Ordonez.

So what you're saying is that this article is about par for the course on LH lately?

What this research actually seems to be saying is that if you leave your child with a crappy babysitter who restrains them in a car seat for hours instead of actually caring for them, then there’s an increased risk they might die. Letting your baby sleep in their car seat next to you in a restaurant is not going to

This article’s summary of this research is so bad that it borders on willful falsehood. Here’s the actual result from the study:

No, it’s not. MBAs are dime a dozen and most are utterly clueless about the world. Half of Ford’s engineering team could make better executives than the people who actually work as executives.

Kevin gets a raise, and a 6 7 figure bonus. Because you can’t afford to lose talent like Kevin is the Chairman’s cousin.

Why is it always fire some folks? Why can’t it be the top 100 executives take a 10% pay cut? Mike and Dave in customer service aren’t responsible for a 4% decrease in gross margin, but you know who is? Fucking Kevin, VP of the fucknut division who axed the focus and fiesta.

I WANT a 5.oL V8 Lariat F150 with 4WD, but only seem to find the 2.7T or 3.5TT. My dad wants to replace his V8 Platinum F150 with another V8, but again, good luck finding one. Now we’re both looking at Rams. I don’t know how much of this demand is legitimate, or if it’s manufactured by Ford and the dealers by just not

Sorry about your pops.... But I had to comment on the Durango-Silverton railroad, because two summers ago I went through there and rode it, and also rode the Cumbres Toltec Railway, that runs between Antonito, CO and Chama, NM... THAT was absolutely spectacular as well! Durango gets all the pub it seems, but the

And do you think Ford’s customer initiative would have made your experience any better?

Maybe they just need one more customer satisfaction survey.

The problem with trying to improve the dealer experience is that at the end of the day it is still a dealer experience. The weakest link in the customer service experience is the bit that directly interacts with the customer. If Ford can somehow change that...

“Charlie Chesbrough, senior economist for Cox Automotive, told AutoNews that he has a working hypothesis. Mainly, it costs more to buy a car these days, and it’s tough to borrow the money to do it. It’s pretty tough to sell to a market that doesn’t have the means to buy.”
