Is that colon just directed at reality in general at this very moment?

Come on, HC. I swallowed my far-left pride and voted for you; don't desert me now.

I like Stephen Merchant's reference to her as "Beyonce Z".

Hey, that's how I feel about Synecdoche, New York.

Fair enough; most people's opinions seem to fall into those two categories, so that' why I worded it the way I did.

Poll: Magnolia. Pretentious failure of grasp to meet reach, or one of the greatest films ever made?

I suppose that's true; it just bothers me to see something that finally appears to be doing some of my favorite books justice, only to have it followed with thousands of cries of "Where's Jim Carrey?" "Should have gotten Carrey back," "I'm sorry, it's just not the same without Jim Carrey," and my favorite, "Didn't

Everyone in the YouTube comments section for the ASOUE teaser has this weird reverence for the movie and Jim Carrey that I've never encountered anywhere else, and because of this they're giving it a very lukewarm reception.

Well, lick my thighs and call me Norbert, so it is. You learn something new every day.

That's actually verbatim down to the two hyphens instead of a dash; I guess CNN doesn't have special New World Order-issued keyboards after all.

There were a few minutes just now during which CNN's headline (Or whatever that big header at the bottom of the screen is called) was "FBI CLEARS CLINTON — AGAIN".

That's yet another vibe that show absorbed: Rankin/Bass specials. It's sort of a hearty soup composed of that, Arnold Lobel, Jim Henson, Washington Irving, early Walt Disney, the Fleischer brothers, L. Frank Baum, Hans Christian Anderson, Hayao Miyazaki, Ray Bradbury, and a bit of Pen Ward.

"Suck a dick, dumbshits!"
See what I mean? It works if everyone in the room gets the reference, and can destroy friendships if they don't.

Rad; maybe we'll finally get an MCU film with a slightly memorable score (Not comprised of old pop hits).

Is he being frumious, and should be shun him?

What kind of cartoon/Jarmusch geek would I be if I didn't know that?

Every time I remember that show exists it makes me happy. "The situation is growing serious. John and Willem have consumed only
melted snow since their supply of cheese crackers ran out two days ago."

Fishing…with John…

I've become aware of NPH more through cultural osmosis than anything else (Never watched HIMYM), so maybe it's because his image is a bit less ingrained for me, but I thought he completely vanished into the character for those bits we saw. I got no hint of chipper erstwhile broadway star in that voice.
