There are days when I'd like to become a director just so I can make a Stephen Merritt biopic and cast H. John Benjamin in the leading role.

The sad thing is that I didn't find that sentence particularly confusing.

The movie is kinda awesome. The main thing it accomplished is that because of it, Patrick Stewart somehow wound up with the award for "Most over-the-top performance from a former Star Trek captain".

Mitski is going to be in tomorrow night's Adventure Time. That's pretty kickass.

That was admittedly good stuff, but they didn't do anything with it. There was no resolution to his relationship with Frank; at the end, after Frank shoots a bunch of the ninjas, they exchange that look like Matt is saying "Yo, thanks for doing that thing I'm totally morally opposed to. See you 'round, person whom I

At the start of the season, there's a dude named Punisher wandering around killing criminals, a shady organization called The Hand who are planning to fuck some shit up, and a chick named Elektra, and we're not sure what she's doing. And the main problem with the season is that al those things are still true at the

Adventure Time is wrapping up its seventh season and still has not had a single year that wasn't better than the one before.

"Days", by Television. Maybe.

Given that there are several cinema geeks here, why aren't we discussing Jarmusch, like, all the time?

Such a great album. "Listening Wind" is crazy underrated. You could cut that song's atmosphere with a knife.

Yo, I got here after you left. I heard the stories, but I always doubted them until now.

Thanks! I'm glad it was readable for someone who hasn't seen every episode yet; that was my intention.

Alright, here goes nothing: my definitive piece on Adventure Time in all its pretentious, overwritten glory, only ever semi-published elsewhere on the web. It is entitled Come On, Grab Your Friends.

So, the very first night I when I started posting here, I mentioned that I had been working on writing a lengthy, academic piece about Adventure Time, my favorite TV show of all time, and that I might post it here. I got a few upvotes at the time, but before I made such an unwieldy post, I wanted to ask if anyone else

I do wonder about that a lot: how do people on the right survive without any good entertainment aimed at them?
