Curse his sudden but inevitable betrayal!

Woops, that was what I had been thinking of posting. Oh well, two answers for the price of one.

I'm listening to "Hostile, Massachusetts", and the saxophone solo just kicked in, and I feel like things might be alright.

I've been trying to figure out how many Trump supporters are actually as vile as the man himself, and how many are simply in denial. I have only one Trump supporter in my Facebook feed, but they don't seem to actually support most of his platform, because they've talked themselves into not believing he actually said

Dude, Kubo looks so awesome. I'm seeing that opening night.

What movies are coming out this fall/winter (Aka awards season) that you guys are looking forward to?

I am Seth Meyers!
(This joke won't work unless a bunch of other people type the same thing)

I remember seeing a trailer for that earlier in the year, and being shocked at how solid it looked. I may have to catch it.

The king returneth!

I'm extremely fond of this version of Danse Macabre by Camille Saint-Saens, performed by the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra: https://www.youtube.com/wat…
It's one of my very favorite pieces anyway, it's just a little hard to find a version with a soloist that has the proper amount of gusto.

Fuck, the orchestral version of Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 is amazing. It's downright comical in how wild its second half gets, but at the same time it's so insanely exhilarating in its abandon. It's like a parade that suddenly becomes a revolutionary charge halfway through.

This is why I get exasperated every time somebody says "Don't worry about Trump: he's totally unelectable, and even if he won, he'd be totally paralyzed by congress." At this point, it hardly matters to me that Trump the Man might never see the inside of the oval office, when it's clear that Trump the Movement will be

At least it's an action. A meaningful response of any kind is welcome; even if it proves ineffectual, it's better than the collective amnesia we all seem to get a month after every shooting.

At this point, I almost wonder if the suggestion that Trump is not racist will cause is numbers to drop.

I'm anticipating him developing a hunch and a Peter Lorre voice.

I've basically transferred the trust I had in Pixar up to Cars 2 to Laika. Consistently excellent films, and not a sequel in sight.

I want to say for the record that I tended not to complain a lot about the proliferance of remakes in recent years. That is, until Disney just decided to start a conveyor belt.

My little sister and brothers just watched The Rocky Horror Picture Show for the first time. I'm expecting some interesting choices the next time our family goes clothes shopping.

Yeeeaah, no, I don't agree with that. AT and SU are extraordinarily smart, ambitious shows; "Intellectual" is a perfectly reasonable adjective to apply to them. They both also happen to be goofy cartoons, but they explore lots of complex ideas and can drop any hint of humor when dealing with something serious.

The awful truth about TTG is that it's actually a seriously decent cartoon, with some really great slapstick, timing, and wordplay. The problem is that its near-constant reruns and the "Smoke the whole pack" approach CN has taken to marketing it ("Your new favorite show!") make it come across as not only stupid, but
