I don’t disagree that thing sort of thing happens, but it blows my mind how many people are still so freaking ignorant with respect to the whole “Buy ‘Murican” thing. How many years has it been since all Ford vehicles were still made/assembled in the U.S.? Like 30 or more? Last I knew, most of them were being

Yeah, I kinda’ suspected the SHO is a bit of a barge - lol. My ‘01 740i Sport and even my little ‘08 Infiniti EX35 (AWD) both get only around 19-20 mpg mixed driving, and up to 24'ish on the highway if I’m lucky.

Much appreciated! And also a great review. You mentioned a lot of salient points/considerations which I’ve not read or heard elsewhere. So, although it still appeals to me, a test drive will be in order soon. Thanks again...

A little OT, but how do you like your SHO? Am debating picking up a 1-2 year old model...or an off-lease Infiniti Q50s. Have driven the latter and really liked it, but am drawn to the SHO....

With all due respect, that is not entirely true. The vast majority of Audis’ Quattro systems are RWD biased rather than FWD biased. One example of rhe latter is the A3.

It’s still a FWD biased AWD system unlike ‘normal’ Infinitis which—for me anyway—means ‘meh’.

This new-to-Infiniti motor sure sounds interesting, but not so much the abandonment of Infiniti’s great rear-biased AWD system in favor or a cheaper, lighter weight front-bias system which ranks this new model right up there with nearly every other low(er)-budget crossover out there. Too bad....

This, my friend, is how it’s supposed to work—assuming that your wife is as cool as your arrangement as you seem to be. It’s about give and take, and two people striking a balance which works out for both. Nice job :)

Our wives are clearly the same person.

I’m not gay, but I agree with you that being of the same gender **should** theoretically remove any gender-based inequalities out of the household division-of-labor. Problem is, I personally do not believe the situation in the article is necessarily only gender-based.

Ugh...I’m sorry to hear that... for your sake! ;)

I’m no expert clearly, but I would recommend you have a sit-down with him and spell it out. Like everything else in a relationship, “division of labor” needs to equal, too. There will be time when your schedules and other involvements may mean that one of you has to pick up the slack, but by no means should that me

I am right with you, my friend. Our “division of labor” has never been anywhere near equal—in spite of my pushing the issue many times.

I’ve always thought about having one added to my furnace, but was wondering....doesn’t the water sitting in the furnace’s humidifier try tend to get stagnant and grow bacteria, then that crap gets blown all through your HVAC ducts? Just curious....thanks!

Good info. I’m not familiar with Bacteriostat; does is completely eliminate the growth of bacteria or just reduce it? My little ones both have the little elephant cool mist humidifiers, and as much as I try to be diligent about emptying them, swishing white vinegar around in them, then dumping and re-filling with

Sadly, that price range will exclude me from buying it—at least “new” anyway. Maybe the 300hp detuned version will be more reasonable. Otherwise, I may be relegated to a leftover 2015 Q50S 3.7 awd which, frankly, I think I’d be OK with. I tend to keep my cars forever; the current gen VQ motors are bulletproof and who

I hope it only costs that much, too....but suspect it may be far more. Doh :(

Sadly, I predict this variant will run close to or over the $50k mark which means it will only be available to me as an off-lease car, which also means it will be well beaten-to-shite by that time. Guess I’m stuck with my ‘08 EX35 for another few years....

...that “game” seems to be getting pretty weak, with so many of their inline 6’s being replaced by turbo 4-bangers. Nothing like eliminating the one thing which contributed most to your success as a company. Nice, short-sighted work, BMW...

That being said, I would suggest the 2.0 turbo engine for you good sir (or madam). Problem solved :)
