Great article, Aaron. Enjoyed the commentary, too.

WTF is going on in VA?? Every outlandish sounding, so-ridiculous-it-has-to-be-a-hoax traffic ticketing scheme I’ve read about during the last 6 or so months has been in VA—and worse—its’ been real.

A couple things I’ve noticed on my Droid Turbo (which incidentally I still love even though 48 hrs of battery life is a joke): First, using even top quality wireless chargers royally screw up the battery’s calibration on the Turbo, and for the record, if you battery “believes” it’s at 0% charge (regardless of whether

Transmission pan too? ;)

I had read somewhere that the corporate-issued specs for the 740i/iL stated 282 hp, but their actual number was closer to 306 hp. Something about BMW dumbing-down the hp spec so that the 750’s hp (which was what...like 325?) made it look like you were getting a much bigger bump for that much higher price tag.

The ONLY (and I mean only) reason it could be a bad choice here in the states is finding someone who can work on it ;)

Yeah, baby :D

Yeah, I was wondering what a 2.5L diesel (even with a turbo and a manual trans) would do on a 4600 pound car—assuming it has most of the heavy electrical options which E38’s sold with here in the U.S. I’ve read a little on the Euro model 730D, but wasn’t there also a 740D over there? Just curious.

Definitely this. New iOS releases on old(er) hardware in-and-of-themselves may not be the only related performance suck; sometimes ALL of the new functionality which ships with that release is enabled by default when first installed.

Well done. So many nice, informed individuals on here who are willing to share their constructive comments/experiences. And then we also have our share of trolls who enjoy ruining it.

You’re missing garlic...there must ALWAYS be garlic! :)

Great response...I fully agree.

I’m not sure I understand why the low price on this car. It would surely makes sense with an S-Class or 7-Series of this vintage because:

Hey Eric.....great piece...thanks so much for sharing; as it turns out, it seems I knew less about this than I thought I did.

It’s very Infiniti M’ish....or whatever the eff the Inifiniti M is now called.

That is why we cook (or to be more precise “sautee”) fresh garlic on LOW. The higher the cooking temp, the more you’ll need to stir it constantly and the bigger the risk of having it brown and bitter.

I’m not a fan of the E60 either—and by no means would I ever try talking someone into buying a late(r) model used BMW—but I can tell you, you will not mistake driving any BMW (including this one) for anything made by Subaru.

Doesn’t look all that great, and assuming it’s also taken on the MB FWD platform (in lieu of Infiniti’s incredible ATTESA RWD biased all-wheel-drive system), I see ABSOLUTELY no reason for this vehicle. I give it an “F”.

...yes, but will 90 HP in a car that heavy actually get you to 60 MPH? That is the question ;)

Yeah, I was wondering about that. Obviously, when a diesel is in question, one ought to pay attention to “torque” figures rather than “horsepower”, but 90HP does sound awfully anemic.
