Well, this will certainly change my mindset about buying a new phone every couple of years. Looks like the ol’ Droid Turbo will need to stick around a while (a LONG while). Time to go buy a LifeProof case, I guess...

Ok, now for the really IMPORTANT question; can I expect one of these to depreciate to 50 or even 40% of its original price (I’m looking at you BMW 7-Series and Benz S-Class) within the next 4-5 years?

I tried using Wunderlist for my task management at work, but quickly found it was better suited for keeping tracking of my personal tasks; what I need to get at Lowes the next time I find myself there; what chemicals I need from the pool store, etc.

It was a tongue-in-cheek comment, but thanks for sharing your insightful thoughts anyway.

Oh good lord....its pure, unadulterated, full-strength ugliness has blinded me.

At least it wasn’t a BMW driver for once.

Agreed. It’s also a real problem when your kids are a bit older, and you’ve regained some of opportunities for “alone time” with your spouse (and believe me, you’ll get to this point a lot faster than you may think)...only your sex life still remains withered and sparse.

This right here 100%.

Yep—-add “lack of communication” and either partner being “self centered” to the point of not really caring about how the other feels, and you’ve got yourself a perfect trifecta.

My solution? Get married and have kids. Makes tracking your sexual activity much easier, as long as counting to 1 doesn’t present a problem ;)

Brother in law’s stationed at Drum. Great pics/videos of their glorious departure. Very cool.

I’m with ya’ spiritually, ma’ brother, but do you know for a fact you don’t have to replace the motor? :) Even with the $2k asking price, I’d feel a helluva’ lot better dropping $200 on a PPI to test cylinder compression at the very least.

They actually are worth discussing, because you are incorrect. One system is gear (differential) based, the other is based on electronically-controlled clutch packs, and they function very differently. One system also runs in a default 50:50 torque split, the other does not because doing so would burn up the clutch

I’m not kidding you at all. Not familiar with your euphemism, but I’m sure it’s funny in your circles. Now I have one for you: You’re full of shite.

Yeah, but how is the power/acceleration? Even with the Mazda5, which I agree looks great, has decent options, etc—it just seems as though the entire Mazda lineup is focused exclusively on “fuel efficiency” and not “performance”. On paper at least (and I admit I haven’t driven a new Mazda5 or CX-5), their

Yeah, I think there was some misuse of terms, specifically “same” versus “derived from”. Clearly not the same system....

Appreciate the clarification. I think the sticking point for me was “same as” versus “derived from” and I’d certainly agree with you on the latter.

...ehhhh....are you sure the Evo X’s AWD system is what’s in the Outlander?

Both, actually. The only (and I mean ONLY) source for the metric sized tires were Michelin and Avon. And even back in 1997 when I bought my first E28 and (out of ignorance) bought a new set of metric TRX tires, they set me back $200 a piece. Should’ve just bought a set of newer 16” Style 5’s, but I hadn’t yet

Unless you were planning on only showing this car, why in all-that-is-holy would you want a set of TRXs? By today’s standards, they’re both still available and highly unsafe in most driving conditions. Especially ones involving water in liquid or frozen form.
