If they were non-grounded, would they still have the 3rd prong as a grounded outlet does? Just curious. Reason I ask is, my wife and I bought the house she grew up in from her parents about 12 years ago, and I've noticed the outlets around the house are randomly upside down...no correlation with whether or not they

Wolke adds that a little bit of vinegar or sugar can cancel out the saltiness by giving your taste buds competing flavors.

Damn Google....answered my own question. It's bacteria which forms in the jug as a result of the water reaching 90-130 degrees. No more sun tea for me.

Ok, just one semi-related question with making tea at home—specifically "sun tea". If I brew a gallon of "sun tea" (i.e., gallon jug of water containing several tea bags left sitting in the sun for a few hours), and place the jug in the fridge to enjoy later, what exactly is the clear, gelatinous substance which

Same here in western NJ. 1 horrible sub-par cable company or Centurylink DSL. Guess I should be "thankful" that I'm even able to get 5-6 Mbps.

Wait a minute....do we work for the same company? ;)

I've noticed when I respond "Business Process Improvement" their eyes begin to glaze over....and then I tell them "it's a nice change from my years in the porn industry". Usually gets at least a snicker—unless of course they have a stick up their ass ;)

I've looked at this for the company I work at which is (unfortunately) still running Lotus Notes. I was looking at it as a more efficient way to respond back to email requests which were sent to the wrong area. Great product from my perspective, but in my case anyway, it was cost prohibitive. Moving to

Beautiful E28. My fave color too :)

I saw a huge hit against my phone's battery from Webroot's Android product; but what's funny is, the software's processes didn't show up on the "hit list" of apps which were draining the battery. Uninstalled it and immediately saw my phone's battery life return to normal.

Great advice! On my old Razr Maxx HD at bedtime, I am still using SmartActions to shut off wifi, bluetooth, and mobile data so that only the phone is enabled since we no longer have a landline. Unfortunately, SmartActions do not work as consistently under KitKat as they did under earlier versions of the OS. If only

I always tap the power button to turn off the display each time I'm done looking at my phone. No matter how short of a duration you choose for your display to to automatically turn off, it's longer and uses more juice than just turning it off immediately.

Basically, the same two services which are chomping down my battery on my Razr Maxx HD. By chance, do you also have an older phone or a new(er) one? Just curious.

That would be my concern, too....unless the issue is caused by something to do with all the past updates also being on the phone whereas uninstalling all of them, then letting the phone install only the latest update does not cause the issue. It's also possible I have no idea how Google software updates actually work

Wait....you and your missus are not able to use Bluetooth and WiFi 2.4GHz at the same time? My home network runs on 2.4 and I stream Pandora from my Razr Maxx HD to a Bluetooth dongle on my Bose SoundDock all the time. Is this a known issue? Does it pertain to KitKat or something else? Just curious.

I do think this is a neat idea, but just to make sure I understand correctly, your mobile phone ends up being the linchpin for Two-Factor Authentication.

Yeah, the more I read about credit unions, the more I wonder if that might be a better alternative. Or at least they'd be AN alternative anyway :)

Sounds almost too good to be true. Care to share the name of this institution? :) I'm guessing at least some readers would be interested in researching further....myself included.

Ok, so let's pretend for a moment that I recognize the value of running an app launcher on say a smartphone, but am having difficulty seeing its value on a PC—because of things like the ability to "pin" frequently used apps directly to the Start bar.

How funny....I'm running the same model Nokian all-season tires on my Infiniti EX35, and they're wearing prematurely in the exact same place ;)
