I’m going to need a few more examples of cars that use that transmission before I can fully accept your position.

When I was shopping I test drove two. Would’ve considered buying if it had some semblance of speed in a straight line. The handling is amazing, seats amazing, shifter and steering spot on. It was barely faster than the Accord (4 cyl) I was driving then. The FR-S at the time was $25k. I’d have gladly paid $30k for a

BS, The customer base is there.
We took our money and bought a Mustang 2.3L EB and then tuned it for even more power.
Or in my case a Fusion Sport with the 2.7EB

They should pool the remaining tax credits. Companies who’ve been sitting on their hands up until now don’t deserve a competitive advantage for waiting for others to drive down battery costs

Warning interesting/not interesting anecdote ahead:

The dead in deadblow, is the same usage as in the phrase “Dead as a doornail.” It comes from usage of the word in carpentry in Ye Ole tymes. Nails were frequently re-used historically but door nails were a one time use deal. Nails used to hold doors to their frames

My folks had a fiat with an electrical issue, that basically gave you one feeble attempt at starting before it just stopped trying. We all became expert at bump starting, parking on hills, working up to speed on level ground before hopping in, into gear & popping the clutch. If my dad was heading out, it was accepted

Almost everyone would love to drive this, sure. However, compared to other cars in its segment it’s a bit... meh. Questionable looks + mandatory automatic are the primary reasons I guess. Doesn’t mean it’s hideous or not-fun on its own, it’s just not that attractive compared to other cars in its segment. Imho.

It’s a bit heavy but it holds up to repeated beatings and the 6 speed was an actual 6 speed and not a high ratio overdrive gear...and yes it’s a bit mushy with the stock springs and alignment. I’ll forgive that in a car that gains 100hp with 2 feet of rubber hose and a needle valve

2000 Mustang GT, and it still holds up after 210K miles.

It looks really ugly.

I may be in the minority here, but the sheer quantity of vents and angles makes for one unbalanced and homely car... my opinion, take it as you will.

It’s kinda nice looking, but mostly meh... Seems to me like they’re stuck in the early 2000-s Underground 2 bubble.

I have a kind of bittersweet story about this. So this isn’t Ford’s first foray into the USPS vehicles. They built the ranger based FFV.

I, being a person who is secretly very interested in the Ford Transit (Ford should have made a Transit ST instead of the Edge ST), like this one the most out of all the options I have seen. That, and I would like to see an American company get the contract. It will make me feel all patriotic and stuff. Let Ford have

He’s saying the Transit is way too logical for them to select.

I’m just glad that when USPS tracking says “the package is in transit” I’ll be able to rest assured that the package is in a Transit...
