Technically you’re not supposed to tow with a rental. I had a truck and loved that I could do all the above whenever needed. I probably towed 5 times a year and used the bed to remodel a house. Once that was done, a truck is an excellent daily driver and the back seat has more room than any sedan I can think of.

I live here. It’s north Atlanta, could have been many exits. Big assumption about where it was. Most likely on 285 eastbound. The exits get a bunch of traffic for peiple going north but people turning south there’s a bunch more space. Most likely that’s the case here

As an example, here is the ga 400 exit. Northbound blocks people trying to go southbound for a while, makes sense to drive on shoulder when your exit is wide open.. I don’t get why people care if they are getting off the highway and not cutting in front of anyone.
