Wow. I assumed it would be this:

It's gaudy as all fuck, but it looks like what it is, and what it should be.

you forgot to end with

Was their thought process, "how do we make something uglier than this?"

Cadillac will be laughing all the way to the bank!

Oh god, it's hideous, cover it back up!

No.

Remind me why I would ever look at an M4 if this thing will be lighter, smaller, and have the same basic engine. Oh, and save twenty grand.

There has not been a "real" M car for a while now. Perhaps BMW can puts it model line up on the "Biggest Loser." Lets hope that they really are making a new M-car and that it has some of the "i" brand weight savings. Oh, and one more thing, a real NA straight six and an actual lever for the parking brake.

I priced one out on the website. It ended up just over 50k, I think. I placed an order for an ATS 3.6 premium, and it was considerably less than that, tax and tag included.

I said this before, BMW doesn't kill their lines they just slap a new badge number on them and move them on down.

This seems...boring. It's another BMW coupe with a 3L I6, 8-speed, and some fancy ///M accessories. This sounds terrible but I'm not really excited by this formula anymore.

Just do what Ford did with the Fusion, Clone the AM Rapide without actually making it look like you cloned the Rapide.

Toyotas idea of an exciting Camry… Doesn't matter how horrible it looks though Jalop seems to have a hard on for Toyota.

You can start with these two guffawing buffoons:

Eh...most likely it'll be a turbo four with slightly less hp, slightly more torque, that is 30% more complicated than the engine it replaces, gets 10% better mpg. I guess at least it'll be tunable.

2nd Gear: Where Are The Chinese?

The mechanic: Oh, I see the problem here... You have a dead bird inside the engine.
