95% sure that I've read that the LS is smaller and lighter than the 4.5 V8 out of Ferrari.

Not to mention the VR38DETT weighs about 600lbs fully packaged.
The 5.4 is a great engine. The 5.8 is a piece of shit. It is simply the 5.4 with the iron sleeves removed and replaced with iron nanocoating, which has proven to be unreliable (think old Mercedes). If a single cylinder is damaged in that engine, a full new block is the only way to fix it. Oh, and it takes 15 (FIFTEEN)…
Just read through the entire thing and says the 2003 sat on the same chassis as the 1997, but it was "reworked"....
1st gear: So, the company that brags about only having four chassis is struggling because of a lack of variety in its models....
Hey, look! The exact same truck Ford has been selling since 1997!! How exciting!
Which itself was basically a little updated 1997 model.
Still though, why would I buy the M2 or M4 when the 235i basically has the same advantages as those I previously listed? BMW annoys me when they stick near-identical engines in cars that shouldn't have near-identical engines.
Remind me why I would ever look at an M4 if this thing will be lighter, smaller, and have the same basic engine. Oh, and save twenty grand.
Damn. Only Bugatti I've ever actually liked.
I can agree with you there. So far, Cadillac has differentiated its engines from Chevy (2.0T, 3.6TT). I doubt they can continue that trend, though.
GM already stated that the ATS engine bay is large enough for an LS7. Plus the next gen Camaro will ride on that platform, so I doubt the platform/chassis/wheelbase is incapable of holding a V8.
Let's compare the two engines. The LT1 is lighter and smaller than the LF3. It makes more power and torque right out of the box. The LF3 can be flashed easily for more power, but by the same token, a simple hot cam swap for the LT1 can make 600 horsepower without further modifications. Then from there, the LT1 has…
GM said the ATS has an engine bay big enough for a 427 (Specifically, the LS7).
The 6.2 is very similar in weight and size to the 3.6TT.
Really?? It still has a manual transmission option!! Bitches gon' be bitches, I guess.
Fuck it. I like it. It's getting a ton of undeserved hate in the comments. Sure it's expensive at $250k. But you're getting a rare, custom, beautiful, classic muscle car rendition, made with exotic materials, great fit & finish, and 640 horsepower. Six-hundred-and-forty-horsepower.
Here's to hoping that was sarcasm!!
They'll be forgotten on their own.
I would love to say that, yes, Lincoln is worth saving. Yet I can't justify any reasons for it. Even Ford doesn't seem to give a shit. So....
