It's nice to see Will and Alana interacting on semi-pleasant terms. There's so little room for pleasantry between characters on this show.

I loved the hell out of those shots when Will first went to visit Hannibal - the way their reflections made it appear as though they were standing side by side.

Mads Mikkelsen is so handsome he even looks great in that jumpsuit. He was really scary/hot in this ep.

"As mentioned above, some creators prefer shorter seasons - and the possibility to attract major stars (e.g. McConaughey & Harrelson in True Detective) is also greatly increased with the smaller time commitment involved."

She's outright said it a few times, but she is—for better or worse—a product of that small town. She didn't seem to much like Atlanta, either. My impression is that she was only there to be closer to The Innocence Project. She doesn't have many ties at all—to people or places—outside her own family.

She was a bit smiley, but it didn't bother me too much. I think she was trying to be inviting and open so that Teddy would keep talking.

Hannibal is exactly what came to mind in that moment. They have a thing for closeups of moving liquids, after all.

I too was in love with the cinematography of the living room nap scene. One of many times during this show I have found myself saying "wow" involuntarily.

I still have a crush on him ever since "Never Been Kissed".

Here's a Maersk container ship. Each of those containers is basically the size of a semi trailer.

Every scene between Daniel and Daggett put a knot in my stomach. Daniel is arrested in the state of a defiant teenager, estranged from the world around him. I long for his inevitable reunion with Tawney. She finds his humanity. It's heartbreaking and frustrating to watch him spiral in her absence.

Oh God. I thought of Upstream Color, too. What a specific association. I feel less alone in my own strange mind.

Re: the mundane moments. Daniel's idle moments cracked me up, especially the escalation to his sing-songy "what should I do." Having noticed Amantha's bookcase, I found myself saying aloud "read a book!" That would be a very Daniel thing to do, but I found his eventual choice to be equally endearing.

I found the brief conversation regarding Teddy's mother to be a really key moment. Perhaps I wasn't paying attention, but all this time I assumed Ted Sr. to be a widower like Janet. It never occurred to me that the former Mrs. Talbot might just simply be estranged from her family. It adds another layer to the Ted &

I was so sad at first when Daniel didn't remember Melvin. You could see the disappointment on M's face, knowing M had remembered Daniel so fondly over the years though they'd lost touch and were probably never what one might call "close friends." Daniel was always nice to him, and that elevated him in Melvin's mind. I

I actually liked the Blake tattoo's execution in the film version better, but the canvas more than makes up for it.

Devastatingly sad how prophetic this post was.

I watched CITW at home and went crazy on my couch when those first notes fired up. Unexpected NIN is always a treat.

Jeremy Davies is a crazy SOB but he is absolutely mesmerizing. I think he elevates everything he's in. Can't say the same for the youngest Baratheon.
