I think that’s about when I decided to stop eating, too. Christ almighty, fuck that trend.

So as feminism becomes more flexible and more sex-positive I am constantly scratching my head and thinking, “hummm, but wait is this feminism?”. Women being safe in whatever clothing they chose to wear (or not wear) is a feminist issue, but I don’t know that wearing a crop top to school is feminism. Just like if a…
Im sorry but how is not getting to wear whatever you want sexist or discriminatory? And not every girl wants to wear a crop top or feels comfortable wearing one, so if she doesn’t, does that mean she supports sexism or something? And yea I get that boys don’t have to follow the same guidelines, but don’t you think…
No. There are dress codes for a reason, and "shaming" people has nothing to do with it. Go to school, learn and go home. You don't need to wear booty shorts or crop tops or have your bra straps showing.. You don't need to drop your shorts so I can see your boxers or briefs, wear a tank top or an "I Am the God of Fuck"…
The judge also threatened to throw me out for clapping.
I had to go to small claims court and slow-clapped it out when the judge told a plaintiff to leave the court and return once she had put on a shirt.
Jesus fucking Christ.
Yes, I wore a crop top to get out of my house, then wore a bralette at school.
I wish I had better vocabulary for all of this (feel free to help or destroy me on that account) but in ways that are not about “sexuality” or “distracting boys” I don’t find a lot of those outfits school appropriate. I’m a young-ish woman, so wasn’t in high school that long ago, and I definitely know that fashion for…
Dress codes are only sexist when it is applied to one gender. Sorry ladies....I know the oppression is real when you are 15. But you ccan’t wear whatever the eff you want in the world as an adult. if your school is equal in how the dress code is enforced...you have no leg to stand on.
Internalize a sexualized feminine ideal created by men. Wear a sexualized wardrobe designed to appeal to the male gaze. Scold everybody who sexualizes your garments. Call yourself a feminist. Yup, sounds like the typical 16-22 year old woman today.
I’m all for confidence, but crop tops are (in my opinion) one of the ugliest fashion choices that exist today. They’re just not flattering on most people.
I was raised to see my attendance at school to be on par with my mother going to her office job. While I was allowed to be a bit more casual - my moms wasn’t playing. I never worried about the school dress code because I had hers to contend with.
Crop top = sports bra?
Not to mention in many hot countries they tend to cover themselves because keeping the sun off of your skin is a more effective way to stay cool.
If only they were as focused on school work.
I dont support crop tops at school and it’s not about shaming girls. It’s reasonable to expect both boys and girls to cover their stomachs.
