If you’re hauling a whole pallet of bricks, you’re around double the rated payload and the ass will be on the ground.
Also, on what planet can the jack that comes with any full-size pickup deal with the weight of the truck AND a pallet of bricks?
As the proud owner of a 1st-gen Ridgeline, there are provisions to bolt the spare in the bed. This will eat into your relatively smaller bed space, but will free up a bunch of space in the trunk for drugs, weapons, cash and misc. body parts. It comes with a space saver tire/wheel, but a full or slightly larger tire…
When was the last time you blew a tire? Seriously, I think it’s been almost ten years since I had a flat. Seemed like it was always a thing back in the day, same with broken windshields.
Having dealt with the placement of a spare in a 2005 Town & Country, I’ll take a spare that is easily accessed and not covered in 5 - 10 years worth of road grime, thanks.
