It’s fine material indeed. But imagine some of those emails in cut scenes. Wouldn’t they be more humorous? The one with Ryder being named after a plant would have worked quite well. I felt like there weren’t enough cut scenes for silliness besides some of the romances or that one loyalty mission.

From what I can tell, this game has an even better story than Torment Tides of Numenera. I’ve read a synopsis of the plot years ago thinking it has a fantastic story. However the graphics and user controls were a bit clunky so I never got past the tutorial level.

I was wondering the same thing about women who were interested in Garrus. Not that I didn’t know why he’s desirable, but it’s nice hearing it from another perspective.

I was the same as you, but I felt like it succeeded in it’s combat system. Noctis’s fighting combos were akin to action sequences we’d see in cut scenes, it’s quite similar to devil may cry and nier automata’s flashy fights. It failed only in it’s story and sadly that’s what most people want.

I think I must have put in around 60 hours and yeah it wasn’t that great. I had really high expectations which is why I kept playing it. I just hated how Lunafreya ended up being one of those revenge trope - women in the refrigerator. She really could have been a stronger character. It just went down from there…
