I don’t put anything past the comics industry generally, but, given how high-profile this particular property is, I’m not sure WB/DC would let Gunn make Waller a Butterfly. The fact that she’s “just a human” is important to her character and role, similar to how it is for Batman and Lex Luthor.

You know, I realize I’m watching a TV show that is both intentionally comedic and fantastical. I also get that requires certain suspension of disbelief, honestly I get that. But even with that in mind, there are just boundaries that cannot be crossed or else all the structures come crashing down as too much accept.

IN Australia Netflix is the most expensive of the non-sports streaming services and is fast becoming the weakest for content. Ozark is pretty much their only flagship drama these days and it’s jumped the shark (I know it’s getting killed off anyway but I’m not even sure I can sit through the rest of the season on…

I just suspended my account. If they want to keep raising prices, I can do with Netflix only six months a year. The whole point of dropping cable was to NOT be in this situation, but streaming services are forcing our hands.

I think there are two issues here.

I’d say the Witcher and Stranger Things are pretty big IPs. Maybe not quite Star Wars big, but they’re probably on par with where is Star Trek is these days. 

Yeah, I canceled when they raised the rate recently.  It basically reminded me that their cancellations are based on whether something is still bringing in new subs and no other metric, which has led to so many infuriatingly murdered in their prime shows that I basically don’t trust them at all anymore anyway.

I guess I shouldn’t be piggybacking off a family member’s Netflix password. When capitalism dies because of this momentous cataclysm, I only have myself to blame.

They’re losing $10 a month from me and I wouldn’t have even considered dropping them if raising their rates didn’t make me question why I was still subscribed.

He is completely right.  I'm surprised this doesn't get called out more often because its not subtle.  Combine that with how the elves are basically enslaved but are HAPPY ABOUT IT and you start to realize JK Rowling had some not small problems long before she started TERFing like there's no tomorrow.
