I’m so glad you were able to break free and then find a man who treats you the way you deserve to be treated.

I was a raised a Catholic, but apparently we stuck to very progressive churches because I don’t ever remember being taught some of the things evangelicals are. And the priests were very clear about the stories in the bible; they aren’t to be taken literally, they’re allegories meant to help us learn. Although the

It was an offshoot of circle of mom, which has some problematic comments of their own to stories of abuse. Fundies seem to be waiting in the wings to swoop in at the first mention of abuse or cheating to encourage women to stick it out for Jesus. I don’t belong to circle of moms anymore either for precisely that

She seems to be attracted to abusive men, probably sees them as strong. She also dated Corey Lewandowski. She has shitty taste and horrible instincts.

Another thing that really pisses me off are those who get holier than thou and say don’t be victim. It’s condescending, dismissive, and ignorant. I never thought of myself as a victim, even after multiple assaults I wasn’t a victim. But being strong and refusing to be a “victim,” didn’t stop me from being victimized.

A friend added to me to mom group once and wow, after a week I couldn’t take the awfulness anymore and exited. Any woman who talked about abuse was told to pray and let Jesus guide her, that the family was a pillar of God and it was her duty to be the kind of wife to her husband God intended. Any awful thing written

You could. There are ways.

This was the first comment under the Buzzfeed article and she posted it on her Facbook page as well. I found it an interesting read.

I’m so sorry for what you endured. I hope you’re doing better and have found some support.

I must have missed that. Too bad then.

Yeah this was total bullshit. Me and the fam watched all the performances and his was by far the best. He has a grace the other can’t even come close to. And he nailed all his jumps. Screw the biased judges.

Except that’s not what you’re doing at all. No one who claims to be objectively looking for the facts would compare UVA to Woody Allen. No one with actual integrity. Not when there are actual facts you and Stephen are conveniently forgetting.

Comparing the UVA debacle to Woody Allen is ridiculous. They are in no way the same. And using the UVA story to discredit Dylan Farrow is wrong. But the media, it’s about the media! How the two have been handled in the media is also not even remotely the same. Or are you and the writer conveniently forgetting how his

For some will this do the trick, for others it will ring hollow. Saying a thirteen year old was down with it, after she’d been plied with drugs and alcohol and raped repeatedly is not being provocative or playing devil’s advocate, especially when he threw in European morals to justify a grown man fucking a 13 year old

Holy crap that’s where I saw that actress. Tom’s ex-wife!

Love this theory. Well done!

I love the Schurverse. Parks and Rec and The Good Place warm my heart and make me laugh till I cry. Plus, discussing philosophy with my teen has never been so much fun. And Jean Ralphio was always one of my favorite supporting characters, and they just made him funnier when they cast Jenny Slate as Mona Lisa.

A man who says women used to be sacred has no real respect for them as people. They’re mothers, wives, and daughters, and their relationships to men are what make them valuable. To men. They’re sacred not respected.

Well of course. His life is worth protecting a tall costs. He’s a man, and if his wife failed him in her duties to the point he abused her, then she should reflect and pray for guidance. She’s the problem not him. Religion is so much fun for women!

For you. You’re a sad sack of nothing trying to shit all over others. Yeah, that’s pretty embarrassing. Seek help.
