I’m not a fan of the drop-top only because of the not-a-roll-bar bar over the back & I spent my entire childhood in the back of a convertible (BMW 3-series).. not a fun thing for a girl with long hair. xD

That said, I am considering a PTGT alongside the Neons (becuz slo-car-fast) or XJ’s as trades for my JGC. I just

I don’t really get the PT Cruiser hate either. Yes it stayed around way too long unchanged but the reality was it was a fun practical car for quite some time. The turbo version was downright awesome; really it was a hatchback version of a SRT-4 Neon!

My wife had never seen a PT Cruiser before. She saw one parked, and made me stop to look at it. “Is it like a mini-Bentley? I love it.”

We’re still together.

The PT Cruiser is not nearly as bad as people like to think it is. I drove one in high school and I found that it actually handles pretty decently. It was surprisingly fun to take to its relatively low limits. It’s looks are polarizing but it really isn’t a bad car.

I dunno; you can make one look pretty decent, IMO - it just takes work to do it.. I’m a fan of the Neon tho (at least 1st gen & SRT variants), so I suppose a rebodied Neon isn’t going to turn me away, especially the PT GT.

I laugh at any “car guy” who hates on the PT. Sure sign of crowd-following. Funny how the PT was a huge seller and critical favorite, but once Jalopnik started hating on it... that was the only time i ever heard car guys bash it. I was old enough in 200o to remember it was a smash hit with the public and critics

Obama OK’d Turkey to start bombing the Kurds. One of the major reasons why they got involved and a big headline in the news today. I hope the Kurds will be able to find home, they have been shit on for decades yet they keep on going.

Who the fuck cares if someone takes up two spaces? Mind you own business and get a life.

Okay so again, because it is NOT the car you would buy, if someone has the money and wants the car, they should NOT buy it.

As a long-term Subaru owner (I’ve had three, plus two for my wife), I believe that they’re fantastic cars because the engineers have made them that way. Subaru developed a cult of reliability in the 90s and 00s when the Big 3’s products were crap and, mostly through word of mouth, Subaru owners have spread that

...and better aero during the day when you do most of your driving. Also, lower hood line, increasing visibility. Also looks fucking awesome.

Why is this on Jalopnik now?

Ugh, those seats. Those seats are the best seats in existence.

Volvo has made glorious seats for awhile - I remember the thrones in the S60R being phenomenal.

I agree with everything you say. My parents have one of these and everytime I visit them I take a spin in it. It is genuinely a nice place to be. And the seats, my god the seats. They are absolutely glorious. One of these is on my shortlist when my beloved Citroën dies.

Not all vehicles need RWD and a V8 to be fun.

I agree just a bunch of whiny little haters commenting. This website hates trucks. Period. Oh well, #jaloplife

I don’t know. Take your pick:
