The damage caused by Roger Ailes is truly breathtaking in its impact and scope. Professionally, he was a proto-Rove Richard Nixon accomplice and enabler who went on to found the most powerful and pervasive propaganda network in modern history, which was profoundly responsible for training millions to disregard

Correct. Had Cornell been 77 and Ailes been 52, we could call it a wash.

This absolutely does not make up for Chris Cornell.

This is dumb. Is Burnie saying anything or does he have any polices that would make people act like assholes? People get heated over politics, and the younger the supporters the more likely it is for people to get heated and act like assholes when they feel like the system is being unfair to them.

People get heated over politics. It’s not like Burnie is firing people up to go be assholes anymore then Hillary fired up Wendall Pierce to beat up some women who was Burnie supported.

:D It does sound funny, I agree.

And if general elections we decided on the basis of Democratic primaries, that might be relevant.

Whether or not Bernie would fare better than Hillary against Trump is beside the point. I hear too many Democrats acting like we have this election in the bag, and that’s a fucking dangerous attitude to have.

Nah, but this site reports one set of behaviors and another set—for instance, an actual case of assault perpetrated by a notable Clinton supporter against a couple of liberals—goes completely unmentioned.

That’s nice, but we live in a country of 300 million people.

Don’t be intimidated by the Clinton bullies here; The Slot is extremely slanted in terms of its commentariat, much more so than its actual coverage. I would take Anna up on her offer rather than try to make a logical case to people who have no intention of listening objectively to anything you have to say. They’re

Exactly this. It’s not about which candidate you support or whether you think the system is rigged or whether you think Hillary Clinton eats dead puppies for lunch (she does).

I am a Sanders supporter and I am aware of how popular Clinton is, but how vulnerable she is with the General Electorate. Hillary’s biggest problem is not Sanders, or Trump it’s Hillary. She’s smart, she’s calculated but even with all of that people don’t trust her. I think many people still equate the Clinton name

I have been personally threatened here by people claiming to be Hillary supporters. I have had several people tell me I should kill myself and fuck off and die.

The point is that the Sanders campaign not only tolerates this behavior but quietly encourages it.

There are studies that show that Democratic voters have moved left. But the voters are not the same thing as the politicians and their agendas.

I hate to break it to you, but Hillary is not popular or liked and respected. Her favorability ratings are in the toilet—they’re barely better than Trump’s. I wouldn’t be worried if we were running her against Cruz or someone else, but against Trump, all bets are off. Her numbers against Trump’s are way too close for

Unfortunately, Hillary is a neoliberal, and always has been. It’s disingenuous for people to pretend that she’s any more conservative than other Democrats, but honestly, the center has traveled so far right that a significant portion of Democrats can rightfully be described as moderate Republicans.

The Sanders people followed the rules and then the NV Dems changed the rules. The people who were disqualified were summarily banned and did not have a chance to present documentation or appeal, as noted in the minority report (which the chair attempted to suppress.) The the chair of the convention cheated her calls

Can I blame the democratic party for running someone who America has rejected a few times now, and who’s politics seem to be pretty much moderate Republican?
