The only reference I recall to Blofeld having plastic-surgery in OHMSS (as opposed to it being a tiresome plot in DAF) is the removal of his ear-lobes. But, yeah, I guess it's an unspoken assumption that is easy to go with.

I'm fully aware that Bond's parents were killed in a rock-climbing accident.
Yeah, I got the impression with Skyfall that they were hinting that the "other films" happened between that and QoS.
Yes, I'm a little alarmed by this. Really don't need an Amazing Spider-Man style back-story where it's revealed that Bond's parents were murdered. 24 movies is a bit late to be messing with ancient history.
About 10 minutes in, I appreciated the mad, unfocused nature of this episode. And then we got a cliff-hanger and a realisation that this would be a 2 parter. Frankly, this seems far too scattershot to sustain 44 minutes and I'm going to approach next week's episode in much the same way as I tuned in to Pandemic 2…
The Partridge obsessive in me can't let this go. He actually says "Thriiiiker!!".
But he fesses up to the Nicole Kidman stuff later in the special. The break up with Jessica gives him an epiphany. He could have let Trudy continue believing he was some big shot but phones her and confesses to being a fraud. The fact that he does this *when he doesn't need to* is important.
"Be my girlfriend or find a new place to live because it'll be horrendously awkward for us to continue this arrangement. But I'll still pay for your college as we agreed because that was a promise".
This is exactly what I came to the comments to say. It was also genuinely sexy which, considering 50% of the participants, was an incredible achievement.
Wow, where's Prison Break?
Wow. I thought this was the strongest episode of the run so far. Maybe not in terms of laughs, just in terms of fun. It certainly held my attention a lot more than most of this season.

I don't think it's a "funk". South Park is written/directed by one man (Trey). Sure he has a writing staff with him, but it's the closest you'll get to an auteur-led TV Show.
Can't help thinking that people are reading too much into this continuity thing. Go watch Season 8 with its multiple references to The Passion and lines such as "…Actually Eric is still supposed to be grounded after trying to exterminate the Jews two weeks ago".
I may be in the minority, but I thought Crippled Summer was one of the worst episodes so I was less than enamoured to see the two protagonists back. I enjoyed this more than their last outing and smiled a few times, but this won't live long in the memory.
Jessie J is not a "superstar" in the UK mainly because the UK is too cynical to trumpet anyone as a "superstar" beyond a small cross-section of elderly celebrities who haven't been revealed to be sexual predators, and an even smaller cross-section of genuinely talented people who remain gracious and likeable despite…
How have I missed Dan Lauria in Independence Day?!
Nope, the best possible plan is for Hollywood producers to come up with new ideas rather than trading on the name of an existing brand.
Indeed. To say the show is as good as it was in Season 5 - 10 is nonsense. You're still guaranteed a couple of great episodes these days, but there's much more likelihood of a few stinkers.
Thought this was a solid B. Nothing hilarious but good enough to watch with a smile on my face throughout.
