Yep, definitely good advice. There are soo many things i almost bought, but decided not to when i realized i'd probably never use it–even if it was really cool.

Comments like this make me wish you could favorite comments on gawker sites. Thank you for outlining every problem with his reasoning in a well put simple comment. Too bad he only replies to comments he has a smart ass answer for.

Because every iOS update turns the previous iPhone into a paper weight (speaking as a previous 3gs owner). My old iPhone gets slower with each update, and my Nexus S gets faster with each update. I believe that alone has decided what side of the fence i'm on.

You need search history on for google now to start predicting things like where you live, work, etc. Then it'll give you traffic updates and lots of neat stuff. Also i believe you need latitude to be on for the locational things.

I believe that's his point. You have to have search history, latitude, and a few other things on for google now to actually start predicting things. So he doesn't enable google now correctly, then complains about how it sucks and just doesn't work at all. Sort of like complaining about light bulbs not working before

I think he's talking about the Mac OS X not iphones.

It's the complete opposite really. Roku is basically online media only, whereas WDTV (which is known for offline content) will play pretty much any format in existence from USB or network shares. It does have some online content, but doesn't begin to compare to roku's online content. Or you could use XBMC with

I had the original WDTV, and my only problem is having to upgrade it for lack of new features every once in a while. Which would point out the obvious advantage to XBMC being that they're non-profit. Also raspberry pi is cheap. I realize you probably got this before the raspberry pi came out though, but really

Bintube has done this perfectly for a long time. It streams even if it's zipped too.

Why? so you can add mac n cheese on top of all the aspartame and sodium in a diet coke?

VOTE: Zorin. Zorin works best out of the box. Comes with chrome, vlc, and loads of other things i use all the time preinstalled. Based off of ubuntu, but has an interface almost identical to win7. So you get all the great ubuntu package support without unity.

My nexus s has had an ICS beta on xda forums for a while. the only thing not working is bluetooth and panorama. Everything else works great.

@wicketr: am I the only one who watched this movie after seeing this clip?

@the.geekess: Yeah, but the e-ink screen is what i want. I already have an android device with the kindle app on it i can use if i want.

@tproku: Exactly. That always makes me mad, although i can't say i wouldn't do the same thing if i was an employer... which is probably why i'm not an employer :P

@Tim Bess: Oh haha nevermind i see now.

Wouldn't it be better just to use rapidleech?

@kftgr: lol just a joke man cool down :)
