For most people in the US, buying a vehicle is a big purchase they don’t do often. It doesn’t surprise me that people are hesitant to spend (often more) money on a vehicle that’s a new technology to them and will make them change their normal vehicle habits.

Right, this kind of thing are routine and considered ‘good for the economy’ in spite of the bootstraps/self-made man capitalism myth, but partial student debt forgiveness is elitist socialism.

It took us 20+ years to fully transition away from leaded fuel, I don’t see us transitioning to completely different propulsion method in anything less than twice that time. It would be at least 20 years if they stopped selling ICE tomorrow.

When traveling anywhere as a passenger - prepare entertainment options for yourself (or your kids if you’re a parent) that are not dependent on an internet connection. Download potential movies and shows to watch, books to read, etc, so spotty coverage doesn’t delay you.

Neutral: I had a Toyota I absolutely loved - a Matrix XR wagon. Loved it so much I owned two of them - a 2005 and a 2008.
