Maybe they could utilize that ‘dummy’ space that’s being kept for aesthetics for some the various sensors and/or cameras being used on cars now. 

It’s not an ideal system, but it’s a lot safer on bumpy roads than the first iteration at carved off bite sized pieces with a very sharp knife and fed them to you.

With some work, you could renovate (if not accurately restore) the interior to get the converting dinette/bed set-up back and have more sleeping options. It wouldn’t be a bad option for the camper that likes to stay at grounds that have public restrooms and utilities at the site. 

I predict the lack of variety in form, function and aesthetic will continue.

Agreed. I connect my phone to the car. My phone is connected to the internet. My car doesn’t need to be. I get a new phone more often than I get a new car.

I’m honestly rarely current on anything going on. I’ve given up trying, because I don’t have time or need the stress of getting it all done in time to be up to date with on-line conversations. This goes for everything from Netflix TV shows to video games.

Unpopular opinion: Battery powered EVs are nice for the at-home convenience of charging (provided you have a dedicated parking space adjacent to your home or with access to a charger) but the mining and production of the batteries still have significant environmental impacts that need to be addressed.
