I think for most people, especially non-Jalop posters, any car purchase is a compromise to some degree even when things are good. Unless you’ve got really low expectations. 

I have never been a real tree person. I know they are farmed, but the idea of cutting down a tree that’s been growing for the past 8 years for 1 month of slowly dying decoration before it’s tossed to the curb (and hopefully at least mulched) doesn’t feel good to me.

I don’t need more to dust. 

I don’t care for the narrow slit headlight look. I think this car would look better if that body panel between the two strips on the front was also headlight. 

As a counterpoint, the current RAV-4 and CR-V averages about the same

I’m glad I’ve stayed with vehicles that get good gas mileage and didn’t let the expectation of good fuel economy get overridden by other factors just because gas was cheaper for a time. My Sportwagen may not be a speed demon that’s filled with luxurious features, but I still average over the published 32mpg in mixed…

So don’t use it? It’s not automatically on. It’s an available option you need to take steps to use.

I like the idea of the exterior accent panels, but I think it would look better if the colors and finishes were limited to a two-tone scheme. 

It’s not huge, but it’s bigger than a sedan for people who feel like they need that extra space.

I bought some plastic containers that are like what the Chinese place put our General Tso or Orange Chicken in. My plan is to encourage my mom and other guests to make up ready to eat meals in them from the leftovers.

I have pulled the “Irish Goodbye” a couple of times when it’s been a big party with a lot of people. About 20 minutes after leaving, I sent a text saying “I saw you in conversation and didn’t want to interrupt to say goodbye. I had a great time, you throw a great party.”
