I agree. Not to be sexist, but I see a lot of women in my area driving them. I think the ride height makes them feel less dwarfed by the rest of the SUVS and pick-ups on the road with them.
From a business standpoint, it was a smart move by Subaru. Make a few mechanical changes, use a different transmission, slap on some trim and now you have a ‘different’ model that is outselling the car it’s based on. They can offer both to cover both consumer bases.

This is pretty cool. I act as host for a figure drawing session once a month that is open to the all artists. Part of the hosting gig is music selection. It can be tough to find something that is pleasant to listen to without being distracting. I’ll definitely try this out.

It’s a fine line to walk. The way I best put it is ‘idealized living’. You want your home to look inviting and to give people ideas of where they’d put their own stuff, but the items can’t draw too much attention and distract them.
It doesn’t surprise me. It’s a large enough company that it makes sense. They can control the environment completely and not have to deal with the limitations of a site made to function in real life.
