I can’t disagree with anything you’ve said. 

I’m a white cis male with the receding hairline/bald spot combo. I use clippers with 1/2" and 3/8" guides every couple of weeks to keep it tidy. I still get the occasional unprompted “you should just shave it” from people.

Except for the frequent recessions, continuous loss of manufacturing jobs and systemic racism and sexism. .

It’s easy to look at a life you didn’t lead and say “They had it easy”, just like it’s easy to look at the Millennial generation, who have unprecedented convenience and access to worlds of information and say “They have it easy.” Neither is a good stance to take.
