I was with you until the prius part. we own one (2011) - not everyone should - but i've never had a problem going up a hill and have been pulled over for 85 in a 65 without realizing i was traveling that fast. you should try it sometime - there are cars more worthy of your sour grapes.

What I meant to say is that young people who are terrible drivers and don't have money for oil changes buy scions. I didn't think about the infotainment aspect, nor the potential that scion might be a substandard product because of (or in spite of) their target market.

think about the target market for each of those categories, then think about the driving and maintaining habits of each.
