it gets old fast - i live about a mile away. they don't happen that often, and it's not in a spot where tons of people would know if it did happen - you have to get lucky to see in person.

For those opposed to autonomous cars, have you never taken a taxi or transit? Never felt the desire to rent a limo for a night out? Been on a road trip and asked someone to drive for a while while you rest? Wouldn't it be awesome to have that option in your DD, without having to pay someone a living wage?
fraggle rock, pop rocks, mentos
All those things from your childhood that were awesome - don't revisit them at risk of ruining great memories. Fraggle Rock - leave that alone else you will be severely disappointed.

So sad to see the destruction of such an iconic vehicle - GM New Look bus. Wiki/IMDB report anywhere between 11 and 12 used for filming, most destroyed or significantly modified. Last manufactured in 1977 there weren't likely many left on the road in 1994, which begs why production didn't opt for some of the malaise…

The political barrier is gigantic. The Hyperloop hast to be built somewhere, and Musk just assumes you could put it in the interstate right-of-way. It assumes geometric compatibilities, and that the government will just let you build there for free.
It's cheaper than high speed rail if you can convince the state to give you free land.
The problems with long-distance and/or public transportation are 100% non-technical in nature; meaning technology will not solve the fundamental problems of transportation For now we will only have significant paradigm shifts with a concept that is either faster or cheaper than conventional travel modes.
FWIW this has the 368 V8-6-4 motor. Add some points for ambition but deduct a few more for execution.
Cadillac did the best they could with what they had.
also, the dyno wasn't tall enough.
#5 - they were smart enough to buy parts that physically fit together, but stupid enough to [everything else]. Does not compute.
