One day the Cavalier will be respected, and this one in particular will be a reminder of simpler, better times. But not today, and not at this price. Godspeed, Crack Pipe
Me?
Do you know how many V6 Ferrari's you could buy for that price? Seriously, I just spent 10 seconds on ebaymotors and found a Mondail for less than $20K. Or how about a 308 for just pennies more than this? Love me some Fiero, but not this much
Personally, I think this is more impressive. And just a guess - the build costs for these things in Mindstorm parts has to exceed a few thousand dollars. Makes me jealous.
I think that's what the article is saying the bus is used for - dedicated right-of-way systems where the vehicle isn't co-mingling with public vehicular traffic for the majority of the time.
256 passengers is pretty impressive. Your typical 40' bus can carry around 40 seated, and anywhere i've seen articulated buses you can't extrapolate that 1 seat per linear foot of vehicle formula - they're usually around 60-65 seated.
I agree. some of my favorite ferraris came from this era, but rule #1 when it comes to cars - the decklid cannot be longer than the hood. 'F it, gated shifter.
bwahaha
I (incorrectly) thought there was an SHO wagon offered first gen. I had this vivid memory from my childhood of seeing an all-white wagon with the SHO bumper in the wild. It's so incredibly vivid that if it weren't for C&D's one-off article to prove me wrong, I'd still be singing the same song. So my CP decision was…
I was mistaken.
CP and here's why:
Dear TV Networks:
31 years old and I still FF through those mushy scenes.
Why don't you take $40 of your unrealized profit and wash the damn thing before you post pics. CP
agreed, and it's growing on me every day that passes.
