Not really, one of the energy companies I worked for had a subsidiary that sold 100% renewable energy plans. All that subsidiary did was buy enough wind energy to cover their customers total usage for the period. The main company still had to put enough power to the grid to cover that customer’s usage even when wind…

And likely their definition of “full renewable” is that the fact that they cover their total load with renewable power, but that they will still likely rely on the grid to cover baseline load.
