I think it’s a response to less then spectacular call of duty sales... it’s been a downward slope. I don’t see it going back up anytime soon and activision is probably trying to make up some of the lost profit that it normally sees from the sales.

While you’re not wrong, the duplicates only pay a fraction of the gold the take to purchase, and for event legendaries it’s even worse.

the only problem with that is even with 50 loot crates, you aren’t guaranteed to get the skin/s you want... sure you have a decent chance but you may not, and you may not make enough gold out of it to buy them either even 

As much as it is a dangerous prospect for random draws, i don’t mind microtransactions but would like to see more specific options available to buy what you want instead of gamble.

Aside from the fact she did get a good deal, i think for someone nervous about opening a pc up it’s a good start, maybe next time she’ll feel more comfortable and build her own. PC is about options.
