Dude - that thing is a pile. Here is a much cleaner example for $1100. You could borrow some parts from your junker and have a clean build.

Seems dumb. I’m sure the frame is not structurally compromised. Some service adviser just didn’t want to deal with the car. That kind of damage exists on all sort of cars with a dirty under carriage and would likely go unnoticed during routine warranty repairs.

Can it carry a decent load from home depot - like half a pallet of pavers or 10 bags of top soil? My STI did, so I think that is a good barometer for utility.
