Oh I’m sure that adelucia35 was giving Mr. Met a good-natured chiding about deGrom’s off night, and totally wasn’t being a complete asshole in order to bait this poor kid into a reaction that will now probably get him/her fired. I’m sure the neck-snappingly quick edit wasn’t at all intended to gloss over the idiocy

This is a Brockmire episode in the making..

What a little bitch number 2 was coming with the blindsided punch to the ref’s face. It was weak, but still, a bitch.

Wait, wasn’t Lolo all Christian and stuff? That seems like a lot of F-bombs.

Did you read the article?

Lolo goes all YOLO as sports pro on tv show.
Filmed on Go-Pro

Amy’s playing loose and fast with using the word atrocity on a Serbian.

On a related note, they sell people! I thought that shit was outlawed in the 19th century.

Why no mention that Vox owns SB Nation? Seems relative since SB Nation is a competitor of Deadspin and, presumably, The Ringer Dot Com?

Deadspin editorial standards require all Simmons related articles to take at least one shot at The Sports Guy. Since the article was pretty news based, gotta take that shot somewhere.

Yeah, God forbid the organizers book their benefit show to give Ariana Grande fans the types of musicians they love. Those bombing victims should really develop taste that’s more appealing to snobby, anonymous internet commenters!

I think it’s important to note that Eagles of Death Metal lost a crew member and actually witnessed and had to take cover during the attack itself (note: they returned to the stage 3 weeks later, opening for U2). Not to diminish whatever trauma Grande is experiencing, but they’re not totally comparable.

It’s a benefit concert with the goal of raising lots of $$$. Doesn’t it behoove them to get the biggest, most commercial acts they can? It’s also being booked to bring some joy to the victims, who happen to be Ariana Grande fans and would LOVE all of the acts they lined up. Truly, no good deed goes unpunished in this

Man, these comments are bumming me out. This is a concert to benefit families and victims of a TERRORIST ATTACK. It’s amazing how quickly Ariana and her team have put this together. And whether you like the musicians or not, they are some of the biggest names in pop music right now. Maybe save your jokes and snark for

I hear what you’re saying, but for her it could be that putting on a show is exactly what she needs to do to heal. I think it’s important to remember (for all of us, not you specifically) that everyone processes trauma differently and everyone heals differently. That said, I also hope Ariana and her team are making

I’ve always felt this image summarizes the whole family dynamic perfectly.

I liked it better when we lived with blown offsides. This rule creates more problems that it solves.

That first period sequence of disallowed Subban goal into a 5 on 3, with a pretty heinous no whistle on Crosby for interference that led to the first Pitt goal was pretty terrible.

I agree. In addition, I’d like to see the blue line become a plane, similar to the goal line in the NFL. That goal was essentially disallowed because his toe was an inch or two above the line, which is bonkers to me, especially considering how precise the cameras are now.

Agreed. The offsides review is quite possibly the most shooting themselves in the foot thing the NHL has done since the blasted trapezoid. Ridiculous to call off that goal.
