Yep. This was a stumble. Not terrible but a stumble. It seemed too many ideas were thrown at the wall borrowing from After Hours”and “Eyes Wide Shut” and then decided to double down in hopes of amping the absurdity. Unfortunately leaving behind much of the wit.

Probably not the most timely or astute observation, but this sounds like yet more evidence that the writers put everything that had into season one, never expecting they would have to write more. There are moments in every episode this season where I feel like a PA is standing just barely out of the frame and making

Good examples of arc-breaking POV-shifted episodes that actually work (and even pay off, narratively) include Mythic Quest season 1's “A Dark Quiet Death” and season 2's “Backstory!” In fact, the former is so good that—despite how much I enjoy the regular cast—I kind of wish the show was about Doc and Bean instead.

Can’t really disagree about the pacing, but I did like this one since it was stylistically interesting, and past due for more of a spotlight on Beard. Knowing of course that this was an extra episode means it won’t move the plot forward, though I do think it gave a good amount of insight into him, showing his

I think he was sleeping when Dooley came, looked at him, and thought, “Might as well shoot him. He’s a POC, and we don’t want any of those around for the finale.”

i don’t remember dead scott being in booya moon in the book at all. i don’t understand how that works - it just opens up a whole can of worms.

One of the elements that most terrorize me in Lisey’s Story, particularly this episode, is being faced with the sheer fact that Stephen King considers his books highbrow, salvific literature.

when reading the book, i always imagined the long boy to be really huge, like the ginormous monster in the end of the film “the mist,” so tall that you can’t see its head.

I only now realized the Long Boy is made of people! Is that King paying homage to “In the Hills, the Cities” by his longtime frenemy Clive Barker?

Started out with some interest in this, but as the series wore on my interest flagged, so I’m just going to list a few notes before I move on.

Obviously all the good parts of America fled to Canada!

To some men, the smell of “fucked up life” is down right intoxicating.  I know, I’m one of them and damn if I wouldn’t be all over Mare if I just got to town.  Lives with her mom and her dead son’s son with possible neurological problems?  Check.  Cop?  Sure.  Doesn’t seem to give a fuck?  Oh man, please please please

I’m convinced he’s the killer, or at very least the peeping tom. Remember the first scene, the old woman calls in Mare about the prowler, described as weasel faced? How is this not Guy Pearce, a silver weasel if ever there was one?

The whole point of these types of shows, is to make it so that in the early stages anyone looks to have a reason to kill.

If it bleeds, we can bill it.

As your lawyer I would strongly advise you to get to the chopper.

Did you even see The Predator?

Wow, you were really close. This comment: 2008, Twin Peaks: The Return 2017. You were only off by one year!

1. They really should have gone the divorce route for Stabler. His marriage was always shown to be on the rocks due to Olivia and her shadow over the marriage. Divorce would at least give them material to work with as far as keeping Olivia away from Stabler romantically and negating any immediate push for them to hook

Still mad they cancelled the original show. Even though if it were still on, they’d be dragged into all these dumb crossovers and I would have hated that, but the original show was my absolute favourite comfort show.
