Bioshock 2 owned actually
Borderlands always struck me as the sort of aesthetic you go for when you just broke up with your youth group and you’re angry all the time for reasons you can never articulate.
It’s hard to remember a time before AVC was desperately churning out “wasn’t it cool when” MCU essays, and at such a frantic pace you’d think that it was the purpose of the site. It’s legitimately sad!
Oh and I guess I’m playing Bloodborne again. First time quality build, first time storming Cainhurst. These giant tick men… I don’t like em!
Now I’m just reminiscing about all the lesser classic Maxis games, namely SimIsle. To destroy an island ecosystem to build a bizarrely placed budget automobile assembly plant… I miss it.
Night Gallery mixed up format pretty often, throwing in the occasional 1-3 minute long comedic horror sketch
Night Gallery worked that way too, though occasionally they’d go for a full-episode segment
One thing to note is that the magazine rack at the beginning of Nightmare where the guy’s cover story is displayed hints at some sort of shared universe for the show. Kumail is on the cover of mags higher on the rack (but given that I can’t make out the title, it could be irl Kumail for all I know), but more…
Anyway The Comedian really was a dud, mainly in that it really needed a dramatic actor, and that it took about 18 minutes before the guy realizes what the first 10 minutes made very clear.
Definitely the first thing you notice, other than the fact that we don’t start in space with the narration, is that Twilight Zone Classic ran 30 minutes per episode, and the difference is really quite stark. It’s one of those things where like… I know the guy’s set is boring. I have to see the boring set start at…
Also Odenkirk
Brad Neely is a savant when it comes to this
Idk but for what it’s worth they changed the placement of displayed badges on The Shield explicitly because they had been placing them exactly where Rampart Division cops were and didn’t want to catch heat for it from the LAPD. It may actually be a regulation thing.
They just recently started a comic book sequel. Unfortunately it is loud, bad garbage.
Hate crimes? Those crimes sound quite… major
A pretty solid season of TV. Undercooked in some ways but stocked with good actors.
The future of multiplayer games is emergent storytelling (ie dance emojis). The future of single player games is small-bore indie adventures and twine games as we stop buying games and start subscribing to branded game services that will 100% rely on the kind of gameplay loops that continue to evolve from Everquest up…
Basically. The point of a beta is bugfixing but it’s also there to show off your core concept and gameplay (that’s what a beta is actually supposed to mean in development terms - all core systems are in place and all content implemented, sans polish or tuning).
A lot of key folks have left Bioware since Andromeda entered development. At this point they are an EA brand more than anything, and EA hasn’t been particularly mindful about keeping the shine on it.
