As a business owner, I don’t think you start the Union. I think you ALLOW the Union. I could be wrong here but, its usually up to the employees to start the union, and the owner to, fight or work with, that union. If anyone knows better, let me know. I’ll take my answer off the air. Thanks.

Agreed. It IS a desperate play, one I’m willing to forgive because this game would lose steam without the help (...ha.) and, I backed this baby. And I’ll tell ya, its not bad at all. I like it better than the new XComs but, I’ve only gotten a limited feature version so far.

If you DO buy one game on Epic, I’d make it

Thank you, I agree. With much you’ve said. What I want is BETTER choices. Or, at least, MOAR. 2 competitors makes something more like an oligarchy than a free market checks and balance.

It’s not all doom and gloom. In another thread I’m not sure you caught, I talked about the benefit Phoenix Point would derive from the

I might have been prone to hyperbole in certain previous comments. Steam is no miracle product. And it has no excuse to be in the sad state of usability that it is in today. Getting to the Workshop for games should be way easier than it is. Clicking on Steam Workshop from a store front page should take you straight to

I care about the fine people, artists really, who make our games, getting a fair shake. But, us too. The People. We deserve a fair shake as well. Now, we’re forgetting a 3rd party here. Publishers/Money Folk, who can fahk with both of us.

I’m MOST concerned about the nature of HOW Epic is going about driving traffic to

It seems a little heavy handed, yes. It’s a bit much, it feels. But I guess when everyone’s doing it... Apple, Google, all taking 30%, you only change when people make a fuss.

Well, here’s the fuss. I’m not opposed to a fuss. I like a fuss even. Just... not the praise these guys are getting.

Now playing

We’ve covered some of these already but, this gentlemen does a good job listing the deficiencies currently applicable to the Epic Store. They’re... glaring and obvious. I don’t really think I have much more to say about this.

Uh... that above link was for a different thread so... sorry and feel free to delete it. Not pertinent to this discussion.

Negative. You can talk about whats to come but, but it ain’t, friend. Valve is doing EVERYTHING better than Epic right now, and you’re blowing smoke up you’re own stack circling around a pile of nothing in rebuttal.

Look, Friend. I get it. Valve has a dominance on the market. And that’s “bad”. Yeah. Sure. It IS bad in

Epic is giving the opportunity for better pricing (which is the only thing consumers really care about), but that ball is in the publisher’s court, not theirs.

I appreciate your statements, good bearer of torch, the 2nd. But... what actual incentive does ANYONE have to buy from the Epic store?

Oh man... I buy several games at a time, or I might by multiple DLCs, depending on the game and type of sale going on. I don’t think I want to make 10 purchases individually. I already have to do stuff like that with Gaijin, and its silly there too.

I think we need to think of it closer to Jeff Bezos opening up a

Man... what the community does when it puts its passion behind something is truly awesome. I hope they allow this work to find a natural and satisfying end. I kinda wish/hope we can get a few more protections going for the little folks who can and DO do work like this. There’s got to be a little wiggle room in these

[slow clap] I mean, I’d be more impressed if these very simple and expected features were here NOW... actually. No. I would not. I’d have expected at least as much as a search bar. Or a SHOPPING CART. A Shopping Cart. 6 months down the line. From now. For a STORE FRONT. [smh].

One day, just as the one year obligations

I think we should be universally “gob smacked” about ALL people who make less than a comfortable living here, in the United States of American. “Land of the Free”, “Land of Equal Opportunity”. A country where we once had a pride in accepting those fleeing oppression and violence. A country where taking babies from

I think the first time I gave them money, I was like, 1500 hours in, and had ground out pretty much most things. I’ve certainly made up for my poorer days since then, and like you, don’t regret a cent given them.

I pretty much immediately thought of Warframe. Their NPCs LOVE masks. I figured CGI faces are just hard to do. Better to just put a bag over everyone’s head and call it a design choice.

DE has a super positive attitude with a history of congratulating “competitors” like Destiny and Anthem on launches. I tend to look at it as the sorta girzzled veteran who fought their way into the market on their own merit, giving a nod to the newcomers, who jumped into the fray propped up by their Triple A Daddies.
