What with all the Destinies and the Fortnites, I can’t express how glad I am that this indie staple of the multiplayer scene, that has persisted so long, is getting some Kotaku love. Glad you found it and are enjoying it form time to time, Ethan.

I too remember seeing these things and, honestly, just like Dragon’s Lair, I avoid them. It was a sure fire way to go through a pocket of quarters because you didn’t know what the heck you were doing. I’d get a lot more bang out of my literal buck via Galaga. Man, the games I WANTED to enjoy but just couldn’t because…
As much as I hate to say it, I’m really starting to warm up to Games Workshop’s shotgun approach to licensing.
Wow. You made what I was thinking sound petty and silly, and stopped me midtrack from spewing it to the world.
You’re right. Good for them. To be able to heap such lavish sums of income, roughly the equivalent of 2 yearly salaries, on to another.
More like, Gears of BORE! [slaps knee and chuckles] AMIRIGHT?!? [wipes tear from eye] WOOOOOOOoooo.
Seriously though. I don’t blame her. Maybe if I had jumped into the series at the start but.. wasn’t much of a fan of gameplay, art direction, or story.
But hey! To each their own!
Oh man. I’m going to miss these. I often quoted one of these on FB then linked back to the article but, I certainly only caught you guys in the last couple years. [sigh] Thanks for consolidating the info and always linking back to your sources. It made broadening my education in this industry that much easier.
[salutes]
Good Sleuthing, and all that helped. I dug a bit more and yeah. It looks like it COULD have been the brain child of a game jam Dec of 2015. It IS a cute back story, and had it been me, if I wanted to have kept a hint of truth to it, and avoid a backlash of any strength, I might have just stated that it was inspired by…
I think the REAL question is, are people going to start torrenting the shows they want to see, INSTEAD of spending 30mins a month, or more, swapping out subscriptions.
I think we know the answer here.
I WANT everything on Netflix for like $10.25 a month or whatever it is these days.
Is that “healthy”? Probably not.
Am I going to pay what is essentially CABLE prices ($80+) by subscribing to 20 streaming services?
Negative.
There are MANY reasons why “cable companies” are so awful, and why they were uniquely poised to…
I’ve described Valve to a friend as “malignant”. Neither bad, nor particularly beneficial. Just a force, with tremendous market share, making money, without, at least as far as I’m aware, any heavy handed or aggressive tactics.
Just a company sitting back, collecting dough while providing access to a huge market.
They…
Type “Fallout” in the Search bar. If that doesn’t work, “Bethesda”. If you somehow still missed it, try typing both. Look at the most recent email.
Or, CTRL-F.
QUOTE |“How do players not only get to create their own story, but how do you have those stories be social, and how do you share them in the meaningful way? I don’t think we’ve answered that yet, and I think that’s the exciting stuff to look into.”
QUOTE | “Such a figure is equivalent to months of funding and running a studio; that’s a decent marketing campaign to bring in more players, an esports event and modding prizes, hiring talented new staff, or bringing in community managers to engage with the people paying the money. It’s huge.”
Thanks for the info. I was getting close and was curious.
It’s the game I keep coming back to. After the first 1500 hours, around MR 18-20, you start to relax a bit. Stop taking things so seriously. ;p
My Gahd. Another Warframe Article on Kotaku. Am I going mad? Or have I once again slipped through another dimensional diversion into an alternate universe. Quick, someone tell me who the pre...oh. Nope. This is still Earth 2.
JK
I have like 3k+ hours in this game, and pushing for Rank 26 (if its even possible, not…
Tomorrows Headline: Bethesda Support inadvertently sends nudes/dick picks to Customer’s Grandparents, [Update: Issue Resolved]
I don’t know about wormholes. I mean, my mate and I ran a two man corp where ALL we did was run tier 2 and 3 wormholes in, at first, Navy Vexors, then Stratos, then basically settling on Ishtars that rep’d eachother. That was our endgame before we stopped playing. We’d pull 500m running maybe 2 or 3 wormholes in a…
I used to do something similar. 1 year, then move out. Mostly because rent went up, I tried to negotiate it down, and they refused so I’d leave. I left a lot of things in boxes until I needed them. The market in my area these days makes moving make less sense, as properties values go up, mobility decreases.
I’d like to circle back to the original comment I made at the mention of Sylvanas.
