I mean, they went full-bore on NFTs last year, so makes sense that they’d follow all the techbros onto the next grift.

I’ll admit it can really tilt me when I’m playing support and there’s a tank/DPS consistently blaming support when they falter.

Part of me feels like they are trying to find a solution for some of the toxicity involved in the game that revolves around healing(or lack of). I know plenty of support players feel really stressed, not from the job of healing, but the aftermath from aggro teammates when things go wrong.

I miss the blockchain and NFTs. Not because I liked them, but because it was endlessly amusing watching people INSIST that it was super special magical technology that would change the world, and then never be able to give an actual use case for them. I think the closest they ever got were for recording transactions

I don’t see the issue with devs swapping genres. I think a lot of studios have done so successfully. But yeah if it’s motivated by the executives, it’s probably not gonna turn out well.

i am genuinely excited for ‘Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League: All Cutscenes 4K’ on youtube.

You could just type ‘I am a fucking idiot’ and save yourself a lot of typing.

Attitudes like this is why we ended up with Two Thrones.

If you duplicated Midjourney’s proprietary source code, renamed all the variable names, and sold “your” new software, they would sue you into oblivion for copyright theft despite it not looking identical to the original.

to develop new products and software is totally fine so long as the copyrighted work is no longer present in the released product

At least be intellectually consistent.”

It’s cynical. The obfuscation, as the article puts it, is there to make the audience as broad as possible, in the hopes of cashing in on those who sincerely believe Jones’ bullshit as well as those who just think it’s funny.

everything you are as a person, your thoughts and ideas are built off of your enivronment and experiences. every piece of art you view. every tutorial you follow is someone else’s art that you are referencing. it's how we as humans learn and teach.

I spent more time than I should have reading the store page and trying to divine if this was a parody or sincere, and then I realized: it doesn’t fucking matter, because the Jones vortex is just meaningless nonsense, but like, not in a fun dadaist way.

AI models cannot ‘learn’ in the same way a human can learn. It cannot have it’s own experience or perspective, it cannot create what a human artist can because it is simply not thinking. A child can draw a house without ever seeing another drawing of a house- an AI model purely fed with photos of houses could only

It is the same way every artist starts.

I know a lot of people like Martin Short, and that’s fine, but “Martin Short does a voice” is several negative points for me. The last time I enjoyed any performance of his was Innerspace.

Why? 2000s had standards like living sludge, rock with arms, and living pokeball. This seems to match that standard to me.

Describing the giant confusing mess that is Kingdom Hearts as having “pulled off” anything is being incredibly generous.

Assuming this has more to do with the Israel/Palestine conflict after the Macy’s parade and less to do with attention-seeking morons wanting five seconds of fame.
