If you find yourself engaging in this type of behavior.......this is why nobody likes you.
Everybody else finally learning the lesson that Rotten Tomatoes learned in 2019 after Captain Marvel: Make people prove they saw the movie before they rate it.
Yeah and people should write their own engine each time as well, I’m so sick of people leeching off the work of Unity and Unreal engine. They should also write their own programming language and operating system, it’s just scummy to leech off the work of Bjarne Stroustrup and Microsoft all the time. And they should be…
Considering mods as a kind of a fanwork, is this much different from fan artists who have a patreon and exclusive patreon art?
They’re referring to works that are unavailable for sale, which emulators make accessible. For instance, Nintendo will no longer sell you a new copy of Windwaker, having disabled the wiiu eshop. Thus, Nintendo is burying their work, rather than selling it.
They’re not ‘protecting’ their creativity and work. They’re not even holding it ransom. They’re just burying it in a metaphorical hole and telling the public to f*** off. The social contract around which copyright and IP laws are based is made with understanding that you make your protected works available for public…
Nintendo insists their intellectual property is valuable enough that emulation is this big threat to them. Simultaneously that same intellectual property isn’t valuable enough to always make available for sale to the general public
Why the poor Nintendo exec who are living in absolute poverty of making only $2 million a year.
It’s a shame that the richest nation on the planet hasn’t figured out how to use trains to move people across large distances quickly and easily.
Completely random side thought: I always felt bad for the furries since they have the convention in the summer here in western PA and it must be dreadful if the heat is high enough. But I can’t imagine Florida in September is that much better. Yeesh.
things might get hairy for dial-up desantis, as someone from around the pittsburg area, we know that they bring in good tourism dollars and welcome them, he just cannot stop punching himself in the states wallet can he?
I thought the movie was pretty bad (even by kids movie standards) but the way kids have been loving it - it was my kid’s first movie in a theater and he had a blast and let me tell you it was one of my favorite moviegoing experiences ever - makes me very happy so yeah seeing this stuff is great.
Now now, I’m pretty straight (not proud of it, it certainly limits my options, but that’s just the way it is) but loved Night in the Woods just because it was hilarious.... and LGBT doesn’t threaten me since I’m not a White Nazi Trump Voter who secretly thinks about dicks all the time and hates myself for that so…
If you’re gay and/or a fan of socially conscious narrative games, you’ve probably at least heard of Night in the Woods.
Wild economic speculations isn’t a good business model?
So, a company whose business model is buying up other companies, and whose value is solely in how many companies they can buy, lost half their money when someone said they weren’t going to give them even more money to buy more companies.
Oh no, the poor hypercapitalist asshat trying to become the Bob Iger of gaming make a sad face and go boooo.
I recognize that Fortnite has been basically the biggest thing in gaming for years and these kinds of crossovers are effectively the equivalent of kids smashing their action figures together, but at the same time it feels really weird having Miles Morales run around with a machine gun and shooting people in the face.
“Oh we make fun of everyone [who’s not a rich straight white male libertarian].”
