This isn’t a “Gamer” thing (though those still clinging to the Gamergate banner are likely worthy of your scorn)—it’s a feckless fucking asshat thing.

People who have power fantasies that play themselves out in murdering other people with a gun, when those people have no means of fighting back are exactly the kind of

The absolute spinelessness—the cowardice—of attacking unarmed, unprepared persons, especially with a fucking firearm, in the name of grinding a personal axe has no equivalent in this life.

Violence is the final redoubt of the terminally inept. Fatal violence conducted at a distance (via firearm) against unarmed

That was easily the most disturbing video I’ve seen in a while.

Don’t worry, the president will do something about it. Try to ban game tournaments...

“Nothing can be done,” says only country where this regularly happens.

In one clip you can see the red laser sight keying in on the player sitting on the right of the screen. That is much more chilling than seeing the actual violence play out.

...and now is the time I gleefully bring up the subject of Jon Lovitz beating up Andy Dick. Simply because I love that little tidbit.

My all time favorite SNL cast member bar none. Unlimited range and versatility and the unquestionable star of the show for his entire tenure.

The episode of NewsRadio where the characters say goodbye to Bill McNeal (while the actors were also saying goodbye to Phil) is the hardest I’ve ever cried over a television show. Phil was the best.

Ah, so that’s who we should address our thank you letters to then.

I think that “believe women” is a terse way of saying “when you hear a women make a claim of sexual assault/harassment, don’t immediately look for ways to disimss her claim, because that’s what we typically do. Instead give them the benefit of the doubt, especially when you personally have no way of knowing what

I remain respectful that she was one of the more prominent voices against Weinstein, but sexually coercing a minor (even a 17 year old) and then paying to keep it silent is definitely on the scale of disgusting inexcusable behavior.

I actually love Iron Man 2 and would consider Iron Man 3 to be the worst MCU movie.

I blame the directors.

Thor - OK, but kinda dull.

I really liked the climactic action scene with the teleporter dumping characters all across different worlds and dimensions. It’s still one of the only MCU movies with a final fight scene more interesting than “the good guy and bad guy hit each other really hard while stuff explodes around them.”

Loki and Kat Dennings are definitely the three high points of the movie.

My favorite part of that movie is Kat Dennings calling Mjolnir “Mew Mew.” If the movie was up to Marvel’s standards, that wouldn’t have been the high point. (Ok, the Loki ‘death’ scene was also pretty good. It’s not an actively bad movie. “Meh” is actually pretty close to the mark.)

“Schools need to stop screwing around with gardens and recycling programs and so forth.” No. Teach a person to fish instead of giving them a fish, etc. Teach kids to garden and recycle - it makes for a healthier planet and healthier children.

As a parent who has gone through this, I doubt this is really just about dietary quality. Parents who go and eat with their child are one thing, but parents who just drive by and drop something off (leaving the front office staff to deal with getting the food to little Suzy) are another thing. If that food gets lost
