They built a billion dollar industry an ignorant morons.

I sometimes don’t know for whom I feel the worst: the genuine celebrities with talent that are forced to put up with the trash Kardashians being treated as if they weren’t low-class garbage, or the fans who waste millions of dollars on Kardashian-adjacent bullshit that make this narcissism nightmare possible.

1. Is she trying to seduce America?

That’s an extra upcharge, like 3D.

I applaud the amount of restraint it must have taken to avoid mentioning Black Widow anywhere in this review.

I saw the commercials for this and was profoundly uninterested. Can you set up a Spoiler Space so I can find out if she gets foiled by the moose and squirrel?

Jimmy Kimmel.... a man of the people. His job maybe to entertain all of us but he at least uses his platform to say things that needed to be said. Fuck the NRA. Fuck Charlton Heston’s rifle speech. If I ever come across his tombstone, I will make damn sure I piss on it.

If they do (and it would be hilarious), I hope they have an adjustment with a chiropractor right after.

If Black Panther would have come out without the MCU it would receive the same treatment. The only reason it is so hyped is because of the over marketed and bloated MCU before it. I can imagine people having heard of Blade generally... but Black Panther?

Thank you. Folks acting like there haven’t been black super heroes before Black Panther.

True! After Batman and Robin destroyed comic movies Blade proved that they could be profitable again, which lead to X-Men, which really got things going. Without Blade the MCU and the DCMU wouldn’t exist.

A lot of people didn’t know Blade was based off a comic book, just like a lot of people still act like Blade didn’t set this whole damn thing up. Billions of dollars later, and still neglected, even by people exalting how groundbreaking Black Panther is.

I agree. There’s nothing offensive about tasing dead rats, really; it’s just dumb. I was more offended by the description of him earning millions of dollars by walking around his own home yelling at a selfie stick. The rat thing was like, “Yeah, that’s the kind of dumb shit this soulless moron would think is funny.”

Eh.  I don’t need to know what Logan Paul actually does to be able to see he’s a smug douche.  And as a result, I can still enjoy his comeuppance.

Every time I read about a YouTube Celebrity, I am always glad I have never spent any time or effort investigating what a YouTube celebrity is or does.

Because those facts don’t fit the narrative they want to run with. It’s a shame because I think it’s that type of unreasonable opining that actually hurts victims’ causes, when they are trying to make a case against the truly guilty.

you do realize that it was Tarantino himself that procured her the footage right? In the instagram post she straight up says she only holds accountable the producers for the cover up. Why it’s so difficult to believe her words for what they are now but not when she talked about the abuse?

I know a lot of us have strong feelings in one direction or another about Tarantino, and that’s okay; we’re all allowed to feel how we feel about the guy. I just hope people are gracious about Thurman’s forgiveness of him. She chose to do that and we should respect that, as far as his treatment of her in this instance

Because context matters. How information is delivered can change perception dramatically (think Fox News, or reality TV). Especially since Uma Thurman didn’t write the thing, and her words are going through someone else’s filter.

Well people seemed irrationally angry that Tarantino did those things himself in the film despite the fact that it’s likely he did them because she trusted him and they had a friendship and she’d prefer him than a stranger/crew person do it. I could be wrong of course, but that’s what I took from it. Of course people
