I am slain. Please have all of my stars.
I've been referring to it that way for ages! I don't understand why everyone gets upset.
I needed this. Brexit has depressed me. I'm a dual citizen, but I didn't think the news would make me this depressed. *choking cry-laughs* Ahuhuuhhhhhn...
Oh good grief. I’m by no means a dancing swan, and I may regret sharing, but just for giggles...
XD I hope she thinks so, too. She thinks it’s hilarious. It’s going to be like when I did the Safety Dance in a hard hat and now it’s my instructor’s favourite routine of mine >.<
I’ve committed to doing a bellydance routine to the Cherlene/Loggins version of “Danger Zone” for a friend’s birthday present, in public, because of course my friends are Archer fans. This Saturday. Why do I do these things?
It is so immersive! Entertaining and clever, too. Watching the series and looking up the references is something else didn’t think I’d ever be doing with a show. Sometimes it doesn’t quite hit the mark but it keeps me coming back, like a cat who’s been away for a day and remembers that kibbles are tasty.
Did you say, Danger Zone?
D: I don’t have much oomph to my voice in the higher or low registers. No neighbour-scaring scream-singing for me either, although I already ruin the bar for the neighbourhood because I don’t have an immaculate retiree lawn.
I feel your pain! I can manage “Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again” from Phantom, but ha, that is all the Christine I can do. I never paid much attention to where I hit lowest, but it’s G3ish, which is about when I sound like I’m zombified.
More stories like this! I’m lucky enough to know a few everyday heroes, and I'm rather sure that they perform miracles on a regular basis. When I hear about stuff like this, in spite of the horrors marched across news pages, I am reminded of the good things coming out of this decade as well.
Day MADE. That movie makes me so happy...the silliness is just so authentic.
Spilled nail polish remover into my lap ten minutes before bedtime last night. GOOD END TO THE WEEK
I had about two and a half while undertaking voice lessons a few years ago. I can reach three by sounding like a gurgling hulk at one end and a dying mouse on the other. I was pretty surprised to discover that some renowned vocalists have a similar range (sans gurgling). Two and a half is more than one might think.
Trrrrrollshtank!
I anticipate bawling through this. My unofficially adoptive dad, who is an immigrant from the UK like me, has a lovely storytelling voice. His gift for my toddler’s birth was recordings of him reading poems from When We Were Very Young and Now We Are Six. My little one listens to it every night before bed.
Since they’re reimagining all sorts of things, I don’t see why they couldn’t give them some more appropriate armour. They could have incorporated elements of Ancient Greek design and de-boobed it, they're not mutually exclusive concepts. I shall continue dreaming, sigh...
*whispers over slo-mo of Tarkin looking up at the camera* Eau...de Moff
