Can’t remember where I read it, but I believe an after-sales survey of Mercedes buyers found that the model bought buy the families with the highest net worth was the e63 wagon. Average net worth of e63 wagon owner: 20 million.

Sure you can get one for 100k, but you’ll look like a peasant at the country club when everyone else’s e63 has those shiny gold calipers.

I’ve got both a modern football helmet and my SA2010 racing helmet. Pretty similar in terms of construction and padding. I would venture to say (and I dont have the biomechanical data to back this up) that based on the similar construction they arent all that different when it comes to performance.

This video completely misses the essential point, which is that for all these changes in appearance the actual force transmitted to the brain by these modern helmet is likely not all that different from the cloth helmet.
