He did not just say “I’m a half glass full man!???”
Are you the Mouth in this story? A guy who talks a lot but doesn’t do anything?
You’re one of the worst commenters on Deadspin.
Dammit now I want pancakes...
I’m actually enraged by this. That’s just poor hosting. And I also have a pancake problem so it’s extra insulting. If you can’t deliver on pancakes, you don’t get to be president. That should be in the rule book.
This is also a huge misstep as a candidate. If Rubio can’t deliver on a promise for pancakes, how can we trust him to deliver on his campaign promises???
The strangest part of this is how there were no pancakes at Pancakes with Rubio. Don't promise me fucking pancakes if you aren't going to deliver. I don't know if he's a robot, but he definitely has no heart.
Oh my fucking god. We are at the point where someone spending years of their life teaching in a low-income school has become a point of criticism. You fucking suck.
you say you don’t want to question his motives but in the next breath you question his motives. by your line of reasoning, any activist who tries to make change by running for office is a collaborator or glory-boy.
but a mayor of a big city is going to be concerned with hundreds of other issues that come with the job, even if it’s DeRay.
I’m just saying it gives off a smell that a white guy wants to question the intent of a black activist’s intent with no evidence except “they want to attain office.”
All I can say at this point is that it gives off a smell.
This...this is awful.
But see, this is where I'm totally confused and why I've mostly just shut up about his run for mayor: if getting an office is the wrong thing to do — and if their motives are purely selfish then yeah I'd agree — what exactly is the right step to take? There needs to be a dismantling of the entire system, but how are…
I’d argue his talent and ability would be wasted trying to wage that battle from inside city hall, as opposed to being the face of the movement, out on the front lines.
He's also never ever heard of a tailor
I’m in favour of abolishing the draft entirely.
I think even Demarcus Cousins would agree with that premise. I don’t think he had them removed because he felt they were racist. He suggested having them removed because they could be misconstrued as insensitive given the timing of it all.
I don’t know why, but I am terrified of Cruz as the Republican candidate. If Trump were it would all be laughable—he’s so obviously a fascist I can never imagine him becoming president. Cruz is much scarier because part of me worries he may have an actual chance.
