I seem to recall Sony being very upfront that achieving true 4k was an expensive avenue to take, and their console was aimed at hitting it via checkerboarding or displaying at a higher resolution and upscaling from there. Shit even an ad I saw yesterday from their twitter account claims dynamic 4k and not native.

Well the disadvantage of a console is that you have very little options to effect the game. You’re kinda stuck with what they give you. Where on a PC you get so many options, change the resolution, antialiasing, ultra, vsync etc...

And has nothing on it as of yet. I have yet another console to collect dust until they release something worth playing on it that my PC already doesn’t do better.
