I got news for you, PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360 are also considered retro now by most collectors. If you want some of those games while they’re still affordable, now is the time. SNES and Genesis were considered retro in the early 2000's, and they had stopped making those systems less than 10 years by that point.

Yeah, retro tech is usually from the era two decades prior to the current one in my book. Yikes. Vintage is 3 decades prior… I always like the notion that if we were to make a show like that 70s Show in 2018, it’d be set in 1996… thanks for coming to my Ted talk.
